Long and actually quite petty so please bare with me.

Yesterday I rang up a local butty shop and ordered four butties. On my way down to collect them we got a call from the hospital ( dads been in a car accident, was in a coma, had woke up ) So, i completely forgot about the butties and we went straight to the hospital.

Just as we got to the hospital i checked my phone and had 3 missed calls off the butty shop. Then they rang again and i answered and they played a recording of "Taken" with the man saying " I will find you and I will kill you" I put the phone down and went to the ward my dads on.

As id sat down with my dad i got 6 withheld calls all straight after each other. Then a mobile number text me saying " I will find you". I turned my phone off spent an gour with my dad and then had to leave.

When i got home i turned my phone back on, id missed 7 more withheld calls. I put the mobile number ibto facebpok and immidiatly phone out who it was.

So i text the number and said " womans name, i kniw who you are thanks to facebook, fuck off ringing me and delete my number you silly girl "

Yes i shouldnt of swore but id veen in hospital with my dad im 9 weeks pregnant i do not need constant phone calls because i didnt pick up four butties. This girls facebook showed she worked at butty shop and is no coincidence i got withheld numbers and whatnot after butty shop rang back.

Anyesy, the phone calls carry on all night, im not exagerating when i say ive had 25 in total. Her boyfriend dtarted ringing me abusing me aswell.

Woukd i be un reasonabke to report this to the police? Might seem petty vut after the day id had i ended up bursting ibto tears. Im under a lot of stress at the minute with my dad and my unborn baby.

Im tempted to go down to the butty shop and have words but as they have my number and iv already been harrassed i dont want it to xontinue. Any advice please?

Well I'd be scared by that out of proportion reaction - I would worry that there appear to be no brakes being applied, so who knows how far they'd go?

Good to know police are dealing with it. Really dont keep replying though, as it makes you look as bad as them - and could seem more like an altercation with fault on both sides. So please be controlled, so that the police can do their jobs and if nothing else, scare them into behaving in the future.

In the same vein, I would be shouting about refusing to pay, as it makes you at fault again. I wouldn't be paying, but I'd wait until the shop owner waives payment and grovels!

Sweetsaremydownfall · 06/06/2014 23:45

Good to hear I wont get "done" as such. I havnt been abusive apart from the "fuck off" but that was very polite considering how upset and cross I was.

For what its worth im not a school girl lol. When i reffered to myself as young i said it because im 22 and i think thats still young.

AgentZigzag Yes, i live with my partner. He was outraged & wanted to go down to the shop. Obviously not a wise move so he didnt. He's said same to go to the police. My mum also said she'd go dosn to the shop but again not a good idea. Not to kick off in any way, just to have words. My mum also said go to the police.

My lot have been great, told me not to take it onboard. But as pathetic as it sounds i felt bullied!

I feel a lot better about it now, had a nice bath and relax and feel better.

ExitPursued Grin they were a plain salad butty, two tuna mayo salad butties and an egg mayo butty lol.

*Miscellaneous" No, I havnt. Ive sent two texts to the 9 ive received. No not going to mention to police about payment because at this point i feel its invalid.

I don't know why I got it into my head that they were chip butties Grin

It's good you've got lots of people around who aren't brushing it off, let them take on some of it for you, I'm sure they'd be only too glad to.

I'm not surprised about your DP thinking WTF, she was just so angry from the off, she shouldn't be getting that irate over a few sarnies, even if it's because they've had a problem with other people doing the same that's hardly you're fucking fault!

Alisvolatpropiis · 07/06/2014 00:02

Ywnbu

Do you have an iPhone or indeed similar kind of smart phone? If you know what number they're calling you from, you can block it.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 07/06/2014 00:03

Is it pret a mange?

Sweetsaremydownfall · 07/06/2014 00:20

Now you've mentioned chip butties i want one! Dp.is being lovely and making us some Grin

Yes, my lot are outraged apart from my eldest sister who found it hilarious. It was that bizzarre we thought it was her messing about as shes known as a joker.

If my partner didnt have a temper id of been tempted to let him go down. But if theyd of been arsey i dont think it would of gone down well.

I said to my partner if theyd had false phone calls in the past surely youd just stop taking orders? Plus if i was pranking i wouldnt of showed my number would I. It is ridiculous but i feel so much better knowing im not being petty. We really do have a lot going on.

My partner obviously doesnt like to see me upset and with this being our fourth pregnancy were bith petrified. I kept getting adrenline rush when it was happening bad enough with all the other stress on top. But like many posters have said i shouldnt let them take up head space as such. What a shame for them their so petty and vindictive.

No dont have an Iphone but i have downloaded an App called MrPhoneBlock.or somthing similar, ive set it to block the mobile number, all withheld calls and numbers that srnt in my phone book. Same goes for texts.

Sorry, whats a pret a mange?

Yes definitely go to the police station and show them the texts and calls.

They'll just do this to someone else - might be someone even more vulnerable than you (and you sound like you're already having a bad enough time).

BOFster · 07/06/2014 00:58

Somebody is definitely a few butties short...

SoleSource · 07/06/2014 06:03

Tinkerball · 07/06/2014 06:34

BOF Grin

Although I'm still wondering how the anniversary of D Day has been brought into it!

BravePotato · 07/06/2014 08:12

Totally out of order.

But if you would havd called/txted quickly: "sorry I wS called into hospital for emergency" it all might not havd escalated?

They sound bonkers though, totally mad

I would still go to the police - its harassment. It might have been meant as a joke but the line "I will find and I will kill you" is serious. Anyone not familiar with that film would be even more freeked out. It's not on. Report her to the police.
