Long and actually quite petty so please bare with me.

Yesterday I rang up a local butty shop and ordered four butties. On my way down to collect them we got a call from the hospital ( dads been in a car accident, was in a coma, had woke up ) So, i completely forgot about the butties and we went straight to the hospital.

Just as we got to the hospital i checked my phone and had 3 missed calls off the butty shop. Then they rang again and i answered and they played a recording of "Taken" with the man saying " I will find you and I will kill you" I put the phone down and went to the ward my dads on.

As id sat down with my dad i got 6 withheld calls all straight after each other. Then a mobile number text me saying " I will find you". I turned my phone off spent an gour with my dad and then had to leave.

When i got home i turned my phone back on, id missed 7 more withheld calls. I put the mobile number ibto facebpok and immidiatly phone out who it was.

So i text the number and said " womans name, i kniw who you are thanks to facebook, fuck off ringing me and delete my number you silly girl "

Yes i shouldnt of swore but id veen in hospital with my dad im 9 weeks pregnant i do not need constant phone calls because i didnt pick up four butties. This girls facebook showed she worked at butty shop and is no coincidence i got withheld numbers and whatnot after butty shop rang back.

Anyesy, the phone calls carry on all night, im not exagerating when i say ive had 25 in total. Her boyfriend dtarted ringing me abusing me aswell.

Woukd i be un reasonabke to report this to the police? Might seem petty vut after the day id had i ended up bursting ibto tears. Im under a lot of stress at the minute with my dad and my unborn baby.

Im tempted to go down to the butty shop and have words but as they have my number and iv already been harrassed i dont want it to xontinue. Any advice please?

and don't delete the calls they made to you, if you can, go to a police station and show them all the calls.

Don't go there, do report her to the police (not through 999). Try not to get too wound up about this, you've got bigger things to worry about.

Called 101 and they suggested I go down to my local police station and show them my phone.

Seems quite petty now i think, but on the same hand i dont really want her to get away with it.

Spoke to my partner and he wonders if the girl is related to shop owner as girls last name is same as shops name.

Utterly pathetic, four butties/sandwhiches/baps whatever you want to call them. Hardly worth 7 hours of phone calls. Yes, i do owe them money for the butties but im not paying them. I didnt receive the butties all i received was abuse and texts. Butties would of come to maybe 10 slightly less maybe, but realisticltly would of cost them maybe 3/4 to make max.

Ah see now im thinkinf about it again im getting cross. You cant bombard people with abuse over four soddin butties. Think i will go to police station tomorrow. Not had any more phone calls or texts today but after the last phone call at 9:50pm last night ( started at 2:45pm ) id text the number and pretended id already rang the police.

Id said " womans name, you and "boyfriends name" are in deep trouble. Have rang police and will be showing them the recordings and texts, 7 hours of calls and texts is harrasment, police will be at "butty shop name" to speak to you and your boss. How stupid youve been"

So, because i replied i wonder if ill get in troubke or police will say ive been just as bad.

Im under a lot of stress at the minute and dont need anymore. This is my fourth pregnancy after a premature son who died and two miscarruges. I need to stay as calm as possibke for the sake of my body and baby. Oh i just dont know.

Shoukd i just leave it now?

No the police won't be concerned that you replied, they will probably advice not to reply. I would have asked the police to arrange someone to come out to you at home.

And don't leave it.

Don't leave it. They are bang out of order

The police will have better things to do with their time than faff about with this.

Put on your FB wall what they've done and say you're never going to give them your custom again.

Softlysoftlycatchymonkey · 06/06/2014 22:12

Yeah nor that will really stop them. Facebook.

Report
Norland · 06/06/2014 22:33

Stop them? Where's the relevance? What's the actual criminal offence? Name the law being broken and the pertinent sentence.

It might make the OP feel better but this thread is rant and the police have better things to do than worry about a couple of school girls getting upset over a sandwich.

Canthisonebeused · 06/06/2014 22:37

The offence would be harassment under the crime and disorder act.

Report
BolshierAyraStark · 06/06/2014 22:38

How bizarre.

Another offence, fear of violence.

The shop name doesn't start with T does it? In a village beginning with W?

Just curious btw, no inside info!

Nicknacky · 06/06/2014 22:43

Or also an offence under Telecommunications Act. I'm a police officer and I wouldn't have an issue at all with dealing with it. It's out of order.

An ASBO! Over a sandwich? Good grief. All those blokes who died on the beaches of Normandy 70 years ago are spinning in their graves right now over this sort of puerile nonsense.

OP, ignore the silly cow, she's not worth your time. If you're that peeved with her, contact your mobile phone provider and ask them to intercept her calls.

The harassment act 1997 for one.

Totally OTT reaction, They seem unstable. Follow through with the report, save the texts etc. All you need on top of your stressful day, Thanks for you and Thanks for your Dear Father x

WTF, Why are they spinning in their graves, there is no significant connection, totaly irrelevant. It really gets my goat that the expectation of this anniversary means everyone's lives, feelings and things that matter must fade into total insignificance just now and only now because of the 70th day anniversary. I'm fed up of this being quoted in total irrelevance today.

I thing ops circumstances and what she and her family have gone through are what is relevant.

I missed it, but who mentioned an asbo? And what does D-Day have to do with this?

Report
AgentZigzag · 06/06/2014 23:08

That's fucking outrageous! Not petty in any way.

They've seriously gone over the line doing that to you.

I would say don't leave it if it wasn't for the fact that you don't want any more stress, and with something so important.

But then if you leave it they'll just carry on, possibly with you.

Is it possible for you leave it in your head? Let the police do their work and make a deliberate choice not to dwell on what they did? Have something positive handy that you can think about if you find yourself stressing.

Sorry if I've missed it, but do you live with anyone else? What do they think? How much support can you expect from them?

Report
VitoCorleone · 06/06/2014 23:11

Just go down and chin her

I thought I'd posted on the wrong thread.

D-Day?? WTF?

It's not over a sandwich Norland, anyone at the landings would want to protect someone being harassed in such a bizarre, sinister way, why wouldn't they?

The police will as well.

You work at a chippy don't you?
