I told the mum at lunchtime (she doesn't surface until at least 10:30, by which time I'm out with the baby), that having given it further thought (they sprang it on me last night as I was putting my charge to bed and they were heading out for dinner). I said:

"I'm not prepared to allow a total stranger to stay in my room, which contains all my personal belongings. I'm sure she'll be perfectly fine in a hotel."

I wish I could leave earlier... If I'm lucky this person coming for the weekend will take the job. They've been looking for almost 3 months so far with no success. Can't imagine why....

Maybe when she realises they are booting you out your bed they might have second thoughts about working there.

I'd be mortified if I were kicking the current nanny out of her room so I could have a weekend interview. I wouldn't take the job because of their attitude.
