We found out that we are expecting ds2 today, we are very excited and we have a boy's name which we love.

The name is Frej ( Frey/fryer)

The only problem is that Frej is often depicted as having a huge errect naked penis. We visit a Viking farm every week, they have a statue of Frej which has a big penis so it likely the child will find out about being named after a falic god pretty early.

Frej is the god of fertility, but also prosperity, sunshine and fair weather.

Wibu to give my child this name or will it cause huge embarrassment as he gets older?

I'm tempted by the name min, just because the lettuce connection is so random and funny! I seem to remember there is also a god of skiing, unfortunately I can't remember the name.

Frej is sometimes depicted without a big penis so I think we'd just need to focus on those pictures if we choose that name.

Tor is strangely pronounced, like it has extra vowels in the middle and the r is rolled, the r in the middle of Frej is also rolled but I find it easier to roll rs when they are in the middle of a word.

Please don't; nobody will know how to pronounce it, for starters, then he will get called Freya. Never mind about all the sexual connotations.

I thought Logi was the god of fire. Often confused with Loki as their names are so similar and Loki (I think) was conceived from fiery chaos as the offspring of two demons.

Love the idea of a god of fertility and lettuce. What a job description. Grin
