Just wanted to say that, it was funny!

I know, taat and all that.

OP posts:
TheFairyCaravan · 27/05/2014 10:45

It was funny.

The most trivial thread ever became one of the funniest ones for a long time! Grin

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 10:47

Grin Grin @ Lady

AndyWarholsBanana · 27/05/2014 10:52

Fairy how on earth can you say it was trivial? OP was obviously so traumatised by it that she developed some kind of multiple personality disorder. I fear for her safety - she's probably standing by an enormous climbing frame somewhere muttering "Who am I?"

Wickeddevil · 27/05/2014 10:57

'Twas very funny. I just got to the end as it went pftttt. Have long appreciated the benefits of talking to myself in order to receive the right answer, but sock puppetry on AIBU tis another level.

AIBU

No definitely not. Ever. Send self wine and cake. Job done.

kali110 · 27/05/2014 11:00

It was hillarious!!!!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 27/05/2014 11:00

But, but, but...........

Was Jack really a tit?
What did he say on the golf course to rile the dh and remind Socky of the chair incident whilst the kids were sailing in Cornwall??

So many questions remain unanswered!

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 27/05/2014 11:04

Ohhh I read the beginning of that thread! I didn't realise it was that one! Socky come back!!

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 11:06

Could you just retype the the thread in full for those of us who missed it StillStaying?

There's a dear.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 27/05/2014 11:09

How did she agree with herself? I saw some people were saying Jack was a twat and some were saying she was BU for being hung up about a chair. When did climbing frames enter the picture? I think I only read the first page or so.

Beeyump · 27/05/2014 11:11

Jack and Louise had a grand climbing frame. I believe that was the main thrust of the issue.

gamerchick · 27/05/2014 11:12

was that the one about the chair for the elder kids only at a bbq?

i always miss the sockpuppet ones, have never ever caught one in all my years on forums :(

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 27/05/2014 11:14

gamerchick me too. Sockpuppets remain an enigma to me. Sad

Yes it was that thread, apparently. Annoyed I didn't RTFT.

FunnyFoot · 27/05/2014 11:14

The OP was invited to a BBQ by her good friend, who she boarded with for many years.
On arrival OP's kids were very happy because the BBQ couple have a super climbing frame (much nicer than the OP's).
There were the comfortable chairs thrones which the host had dedicated to his kids butts and made a point of saying this to all.

OP's DD & BBQ DD having played on the super climbing frame decide to rest their weary butts on said chairs thrones. BBQ dad then firmly asks OP's DD to remove her butt from the chair throne as this is reserved for his other princess. OP's DD did not shift her un-princess booty fast enough so BBQ dad asks again much sterner.

OP socky was upset by this event that happened TWO WEEKS AGO!!!

Also OP managed to get in there somewhere that her darlings were going yachting at the weekend.

It was a bit silly one to sock puppet though. Because people were at worst saying "why worry" and a few people said "yeah, sounds as though Jack was nasty, but leave it". So not really one where she was standing out as a lone voice and everyone was attacking her. Confused

The epic name change failure was very funny though. I think the poster was something like LegoInMySandwich and sock puppet was MerlotIn(Something else).
Because I was vaguely thinking about searching and seeing if she did that as a standard thing, then decided I couldn't be bothered.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 27/05/2014 11:16

Thanks, Funny. What was the gist of the sockpuppetry? What point was she agreeing with herself on?

Beeyump · 27/05/2014 11:16

DIRECT QUOTE:
'(one of those amazing grand climbing frames, ours pales in comparison!)'

Beeyump · 27/05/2014 11:17

Sockpuppetypuppet said this:
'I disagree that this is trivial. This isn't just about a chair, it's about how other people feel they can talk to or discipline someone else's child. I can't stand when someone tells my child off for something that DH and I would never consider a big deal. This would have pissed me right off but I'd have made that clear at the time. I would distance myself. It's not ok for him to talk to your DD like that especially in front of lots of other people. Tell him to back off next time.'

whilewildeisonmine · 27/05/2014 11:18

So was OP the same poster who apparently joined MN to say they were never coming on MN again? That bit confused me.

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 11:19

was that the one about the chair for the elder kids only at a bbq?

Oh FFS I dismissed that as too boring to read Sad

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 27/05/2014 11:19

Crosspost, DeWee, and to all of your other potential Sockpuppet names. Grin

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 27/05/2014 11:21

That was bizarre, agreed! Grin

Cheers, Bee. And Bahahahaha! (Sorry, Socky, if you're reading this!)

possiblyprecious · 27/05/2014 11:22

I was planning to post something quite supportive and sympathetic to her, but didn't get in quick enough before it was deleted :(

FunnyFoot · 27/05/2014 11:23

Socky then logged in as Ireally to tell us all that they had joined just to say thank you and they were leaving. The MIL/car seats & parking threads were just too much and she had already left the Daily Fail website so was now leaving MN because well she has a life and all.Confused

AndyWarholsBanana · 27/05/2014 11:23

Did she mean a grand climbing frame as in it cost a grand?
