...whilst on a public engagement must have either a) a screw loose or b) major exhibistionistic tendencies?

She has clearly made a policy of eschewing hem weights.

She knew she would be getting into a helicopter.

It looks like she is commando, although I suppose there is the possibility of a dental floss g-string.

I'm just Shock

A lot of you sound very angry.

Would you feel so angry with celeb royalty, such as Posh, if she were pictured having wardrobe malfunctions?

The Royal family are just institutional celebs. You're directing a lot of criticism at Kate when arguably she's its least influential and most expendable member; you should directing your criticism at the institution she represents, who insist on displaying her inadequately briefed (in every sense of the word!)

diddl · 27/05/2014 13:19

"Aren't they supposed to be above us mere mortals? "

So they'd have you think!

Oh that you're supposed to bow/curtsey to someone who cba to cover her arse when representing the Queen!

trufflesnout · 27/05/2014 13:19

You can get normal underwear in any size though...

BristolRover · 27/05/2014 13:20

but they are NOT just institutionalised celebs. I have the ability to choose whether or not I support the Beckhams financially by buying / not buying her £8k crocodile handbags. I have no such option with the royal family.

BristolRover · 27/05/2014 13:20

(quite apart from which, Posh has not yet been selected to represent this country on an international diplomatic mission)

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 13:21

More embarrassed and irritated. I hate going to the US after a bout of Royal stupidity.

I think it's completely bizarre no one at the Palace has had a word in her ear, or her mother at least! I haven't read whole thread so haven't picked up on any anger but it does make me feel perhaps she's not as suited as thought. She's tried so hard in so many ways - she doesn't wave naturally or anything, it's like she's studied it all in detail to do it the "right" way, i.e. the RF way, but is hell bent on getting this one aspect wrong. I think she must be so vacant and feels that showing off her figure is the way to attract the attention of people. I'd much rather she went quietly on with some charity work.

SuperFlyHigh · 27/05/2014 13:24

thesaurus - she's our ambassador as Duchess of Cambridge and future Princess of Wales.

we pay for her knicker malfunctions, clothes etc out of our taxes (yes I know they bring in revenue).

the more I see and hear of the RF the more I think of them as attention seeking leeches and the sooner we get a Republic the better! there now!

Iseecows · 27/05/2014 13:26

Totally agree with annielouise she has no class at all.

TheFairyCaravan · 27/05/2014 13:28

Oh give over with "inadequately briefed"!Hmm. Most of us, men and women, know that you don't put yourself in a position where you flash your arse at work!

I've just Googled, she is 32. She was waiting to be William's wife for a long time, she knows full well what is expected of her, and they both know that a floaty dress and the gusts from rotor blades of a helicopter don't mix!

TheFairyCaravan · 27/05/2014 13:29

The only way she was "inadequately briefed" was because she didn't put any on!

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 13:32

@ "inadequately briefed"

Not quite sure how I've ended up becoming Kate's apologist on this thread. I'm no fan, and agree with others that if she's on our payroll, she owes us some professionalism.

What I'm objecting to is the viciousness of the criticism, and why it's being levelled against someone whose worst crime is to be badly dressed, rather than against someone like Charles, who's got form for adultery, drives an Aston Martin and takes private jets whilst preaching about the environment, and pays only nominal taxes whilst indulging in the accountancy sleight of hand that is the Duchy of Cornwall.

oldgrandmama · 27/05/2014 13:43

Personally, I think that directoire knickers are due a revival. Hide a multitude of sins, firmly elasticated around the waist AND knees, and short of the exhaust from a full throttle Tornado GR4, nothing will dislodge them.

gargolia · 27/05/2014 13:44

wouldnt be the first time her private parts were on oublic display, starting to wonder if it is accidental

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 13:45

viciousness

Really? I feel more exasperated than vicious myself.

Charles, who's got form for adultery, drives an Aston Martin and takes pr

But he's not in the news for any of that this week is he? Kate's naked botty is.

OP posts:
coffeeinbed · 27/05/2014 13:46

It's not about being badly dressed.
Taste is subjective.

This is about being thoughtlessly dressed when performing professional engagements.

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 13:47

What a delightful looking garment. I wonder what the S & B crowd would say? Wink

Might have mileage as outerwear actually. Not a million miles from culottes....

But he's not in the news for any of that this week is he? Kate's naked botty is.

This was the point I was making earlier. Someone, somewhere decided to sit on those photos for a month and then all of a sudden they appear in all the newspapers just as Prince Charles finds himself in the midst of a massive diplomatic fuck-up.

I find it hard to call a coincidence.

BristolRover · 27/05/2014 13:53

I prefer the Mormon Garment. That way at least her upper arms will also be covered (there was scandal on this level when Ann Romney crossed her legs in a mid calf length dress and revealed her upper knee, demonstrating that she was NOT wearing The Garment. If you look at pix of Mitt, you can always see the outline up top. Great merchandising by the Mormon church there, best merch item I've seen. Every member needs it, and needs to replenish supplies on a reasonably regular basis)

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 13:55

I find it hard to believe that paps are motivated by anything other than cash TBH.

Firstly, high five Kate on having a great arse!
Secondly lets just have this Revolution and be done with it. When can everyone do? Maybe a week on Thursday? They won't expect it to happen on a Thursday.
