The super nanny format suited her much more. This just feels scripted and stilted, don't you think?

OP posts:
Lanabelle · 20/05/2014 14:47

Nah, I never liked her, or her 'one-size-fits-all' approach to parenting either.

basgetti · 20/05/2014 14:49

It's crap. I also don't think she is articulate enough to do a talk show, listening to her makes me cringe.

Sid77 · 20/05/2014 14:51

You're right, she's not at all articulate. There are a lot of awkward silences that she can't fill. She speaks in statements. Annoying.

OP posts:
mrsbucketxx · 20/05/2014 14:52

me either.

i get the feeling she preaches that couples should stay together for the children too when splitting would probably be the right thing for most.

MammaTJ · 20/05/2014 14:55

'I almost want to create, like, and advert calender'

ADVENT! And Really? Do you mean that? To schedule games and play and fun?

SlimJiminy · 20/05/2014 14:59

It's not even that she has a limited vocabulary - which would be bad enough on its own for a chat show - it's that she uses THE WRONG WORDS when she's trying to make herself sound clever. It's infuriating.

KatoPotato · 20/05/2014 15:00

It's un ass ceptble

mrsbucketxx · 20/05/2014 15:01

oh like her nanny program every time she said unasseptable instead of unacceptable made me want to scream

mrsbucketxx · 20/05/2014 15:02

of xpost kato Grin

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 20/05/2014 15:03

Totally agree - it was bad enough when she was doing Supernanny & said completely the wrong word - but this is just not working for her.

You need to be super articulate and confident in public speaking to host a decent talk show (which this sort of tries to be).

crankypants · 20/05/2014 15:08

Agreed. It just doesn't work, does it? Shame, as I think she's good as Supernanny.

Flossyfloof · 20/05/2014 15:11

Thass wo'I'm torkin about!

It is pretty ropey isn't it? Some of the issues seem quite complex and she is very simplistic. Anything which is greeted by any kind of approval from the "guests" or the audience, is repeated several times to fill in the time. I used to quite like Supernanny though, from a judgmental point of view.

Trooperslane · 20/05/2014 15:12

What Kato said.

I don't go in for character assassination but I'm not sure she's suited to TV.

KatoPotato · 20/05/2014 15:13

Why are her breasts at her chin with none at the sides?

Rebecca2014 · 20/05/2014 15:18

I really like it, the guests listen to her and will get help after the show finishes.

tshirtsuntan · 20/05/2014 15:18

I can't watch it, how can anyone say "you know" so many bloody times? I tried to count how many times she said it and lost count after about two minutes...

Flossyfloof · 20/05/2014 15:22

Do they really have help after the programme? I haven't noticed that. The episodes I have seen end with making a plan - to be nicer to each other, to behave like adults and communicate better, usually.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 20/05/2014 17:26

Slim is right Grin She keeps saying pedal stool instead of pedestal!

moomin35 · 23/05/2014 08:01

Loved her as super nanny but hate this! It really makes me cringe so much so that I have to turn it off. She's just not articulate enough for this format.

scrappydappydoo · 23/05/2014 08:09

I saw about 5mins the other day - its like super nanny does Jeremy Kyle.

MargotThreadbetter · 23/05/2014 08:12

Crikey! Don't some of you sound superior?!
Well I've not seen her new show, but I used to enjoy Supernanny.
She's from East London and has an East London accent. And what have her breasts got to do with anything? Confused

PseudoBadger · 23/05/2014 08:14

" - its like super nanny does Jeremy Kyle."

That sounds like a different kind of programme :o

sunshinecity17 · 23/05/2014 08:25

I haven't seen it, was it called?

midnightagents · 23/05/2014 08:54

Great class bashing on here about her vocabulary and accent Hmm fair enough if the shows shit, but there's no need to resort to that level. You make yourselves sound like insufferable snobs.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 23/05/2014 08:55

I used to enjoy Super nanny too - this is a completely different format, hate it,she's out of her depth and keeps spouting out utter nonsense, it's like she's reading from a book.

She might have an Estuary accent but that doesn't mean she should use completely the wrong words!
