The super nanny format suited her much more. This just feels scripted and stilted, don't you think?

It not "snobby" to want someone doing a talk shoe to use the correct words in context - I love an accent - she is not articulate or clever enough to handle a talk show or the complexity of the issues people are facing.

Saw it once, then looked another one on itv player to see if that was a one off. It wasn't.

Jo Frost' Family Matters.

I watched it for the first time yesterday, thought it was very scripted and cheesy. It came across as quite American. I just didn't buy what some of the guests were saying, it all just seemed a bit false. At least on JK the guests come out in their own clothes and look how they would from day to day (usually rough and unkempt) , whereas females on the JFK show that saw yesterday had obviously spent a LOT of time in 'Hair and Beauty' backstage which made things seem even more ingenuous.

I like the show and her.

Nanny0gg · 23/05/2014 09:27

It's nothing to do with her accent!
You can come from East London and still be articulate (Mickey Flanagan manages!) She isn't articulate and it shows. Why does that make people snobby?

It is very stilted and Jeremy Kyle. She's better at sorting recalcitrant toddlers than dealing with more 'grown up' issues.

SlimJiminy · 23/05/2014 10:31

It has absolutely nothing to do with her accent and everything to do with using the wrong words. She tries to use big words to make herself sound clever and ends up sounding like a moron. She'd be better off using smaller words and getting them right! It's not a class thing in the slightest.

sashh · 23/05/2014 10:50

Great class bashing on here about her vocabulary and accent

Her accent isn't the problem, her nor knowing normal everyday words is.

she drove me mad the other day told a lass off for interrupting then allowed him to interrupt then she did it i changed channels she is lovely but she looks uncomfortable unless she is talking to the kids its just the wrong format for her

thegreylady · 24/05/2014 09:43

She is a nanny, she knows children but she does not have the qualifications or experience to counsel adults with severe relationship issues. I only saw yesterday's show and it made me cringe, she was so obviously out of her depth except when we saw her with the little boy.
