Mmm. That episode with Johnnie is cringe-worthy. But I thought he came across as really arrogant and unpleasant. And I did think it was really unprofessional to swear and storm off - you could see that the other bloke who'd just got a ten basically had the moment spoilt for him.
I didn't think Waring was smirking so much as doing that embarrassed smile - you can see because he shrugs after.
I love GBM, though, so I probably fail to see all the levels in it. I do think Tom Kitchen would probably be found with the bloody corpses of his enemies if he could get away with it. His black looks at times make me grin.
