what things really really annoy you, but for no reason? Like you know it's unreasonable but you still get annoyed.

DP switching the router off at the wall pisses me off no end.

People who put their hand on my back and give me a gentle, directional push - I explode with that one!

I do sneeze a lot though, sometimes multiple times one after another. I had never realised that bothered people, not that I can do anything about it though!

Vintagejazz · 01/05/2014 16:56

Actually come to think of it Vlad we're not being unreasonable at all. We're in the wrong thread.

TequilaMockingbirdy · 01/05/2014 16:56

People can never get my name right.

It's Dana, pronounced Day-na.

'Jane? Jana? Ohhhh Dwayne, sorry about that Dwayne'

Yes my name is Dwayne lets just get on with it shall we.

When I worked in admin I ended up just letting them call me whatever they chose to hear.

I'm a multiple sneezer. I can't help it. It used to drive my mum nuts though "Just do one big sneeze and get it over with!" but I can't. Sad

I thought of another one - my neighbours blocking my drive. I don't have a car, they know I don't have a car, they are nice people but it still fucks me off when they park their cars so I couldn't (theoretically) get a car in my drive.

I also get annoyed with my over the road neighbours excessive washing of their two cars. Every fucking weekend! It has absolutely no impact on me at all but it still irritates.

I think I just have a problem with people owning cars really. Blush

PoirotsMoustache · 01/05/2014 16:58

When my fiance stays over at mine and goes around checking the doors and windows are locked before bed. I know he's looking out for me/us but I've already done it and I've managed just fine doing it myself for the past ten years and I don't need anyone to do the things that I've been doing on my own since I left home!

squoosh · 01/05/2014 16:58

Multiple sneezers make me rage too. I know they can't help it, makes no difference.

IsChippyMintonExDirectory · 01/05/2014 17:00

I'm also a multiple sneezer and I hate it. The average consecutive sneezes I churn out is about 6. I feel like finishing the sneezes off by punching myself in the face.

Blueuggboots · 01/05/2014 17:05

Littlemisstickles - I was listening to Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 earlier - they were talking about automated defibrillators - and kept on saying heart attack when they clearly meant cardiac arrest.
I had to turn it off after I tweeted them and texted them to stop it

IrianofWay · 01/05/2014 17:06

Pedestrians crossing the road in dribs and drabs. It's a crossing place, so it is perfectly reasonable to cross there. It's even got stripes on the road and big yellow balls on sticks so I KNOW it's a crossing. But it irritates me beyond belief when just as one person steps off the crossing, another one instantly sets foot on it. And it seems to go on for ages. A less reasonable person would imagine they are ganging up on me and plotting to keep me waiting.......

lacktoastandtolerance · 01/05/2014 17:08

stealthsquiggle - stopping the car for a chat in a country lane is one of the great pleasures of rural life. Embrace it!

kelper · 01/05/2014 17:11

When someone else empties the dishwasher (not a regular occurance I must admit) and don't put the cutlery in the right place in the tray. gives me the total rage, even though I can't say anything because theyre "helping"
When theres no cars behind me, but a car pulls out in front of me, and goes really slowly >;-|

stealthsquiggle · 01/05/2014 17:19

Lackto - just would, but no one ever stops to chat to me Sad. I am at least less unreasonable than my parents, who moves to the middle of nowhere more than 30 years ago and still rage about horse trailers and horse boxes ("a horse is supposed to be a means of transport, not need one, blah, blah")

Related or not, if the answers dont need a yabu or yanbu, its a chat thread.

lacktoastandtolerance · 01/05/2014 17:24

stealthsquiggle - the trick is to memorise car types/number plates of people you want to talk to and block them in when they pull over ;)

(and laughing at the horse transport comment!)

lollerskates · 01/05/2014 17:24

When I'm speaking to someone on my mobile and they say "I can't hear you." It makes me so angry that I hang up.

TequilaMockingbirdy · 01/05/2014 17:25

Oh yes mobiles. When people hold them to their mouth but not their ear! Why do that

OP posts:
treaclesoda · 01/05/2014 17:25

I'm so glad I'm not the only sneeze hater. But I know it's beyond unreasonable, it's totally not the sneezers fault. I've even been known to sneeze myself Wink

Tell you what there really is no excuse for though. Dramatic yawning. Not common or garden yawning but the type that involves the mouth opening so far that it looks like the top half of the head is going to tip off backwards, coupled with loud 'ah' noises and finished off with a high pitched yelp. No one needs to yawn like that. See also: trying to talk whilst yawning. Angry

SilverDragonfly1 · 01/05/2014 17:26

I get really annoyed when people park selfishly in the parking bay outside the local shops- there is room for 4 cars parked properly, but people deliberately don't pull along far enough so only 3 or occasionally even 2 can get in. Then other cars just stop next to the bay, so actually in the road!

I think that would annoy a lot of people quite reasonably, but it's unreasonable of me to get stressed because we don't have a car and would walk to the shops even if we did, as they're less than 10 minutes away... so it literally could not be less of my business or have any less effect on my life!

Sunnydaysablazeinhope · 01/05/2014 17:28

We go on holiday Friday. I've been packing etc, working, kids, cleaning etc. he asked how he could help. I said could he sort out his clothes.

He a) mowed the lawn b) sorted a tut drawer

Because it was vitally important we had short fucking grass and knew where the cunting mismatched batteries and buttons were. (The fucking cockwombling arse faced jumped up shit for brains dick of a DP)

Phew. Been holding that in. Feel so much lighter!

treaclesoda · 01/05/2014 17:28

loller Confused

You get angry because they can't hear you? You win. That's the most unreasonable thing on this thread Grin

Sunnydaysablazeinhope · 01/05/2014 17:29

Treacle

Your post made me yawn.

Loudly!

:) tee hee

paragirl1981 · 01/05/2014 17:30
