to hate DH pooing in my nice clean toilet?

OK it's not my toilet, it's the one in our en suite but it makes me irrationally stabby when I've cleaned it & does his usual come-in-from-work-and-sit-on-the-loo-with-the-laptop-for-an-hour Hmm I might even check for skid marks afterwards Grin

His feet leave lumps of sock fluff everywhere on the newly-vacuumed carpet as well Angry

What post-cleaning events drive you nuts?

Hmm
HannerHet · 25/04/2014 11:14

Where do you expect him to poo?

WitchWay · 25/04/2014 11:15

I know but I just hate it when it's clean Grin

What post-cleaning events drive you nuts?. Umm, where to start...

HannerHet · 25/04/2014 11:16

Tell him to poo before he leaves work?

WitchWay · 25/04/2014 11:20

He poos before work as well Hmm

And at work I expect

DH does the washing up by leaving dirty crockery in to 'soak' in our white sink. So I have tide marks that bleach won't shift now and also have to stick my hand in cold greasy water to pull the plug.

I get particularly ragey if he does it after I've cooked something with turmeric or tomatoes or something else that stains like buggery.

I'm not even particularly houseproud.

BeyondRepair · 25/04/2014 11:25

goodness none of its pleasant which is why I try not give things such as poo much brain time.

Ploppy16 · 25/04/2014 11:26

I had the post school holiday clean up on Wednesday, frankly everybody coming home and doing things annoyed me!! Grin

wheresthelight · 25/04/2014 11:28

When he doesn't clean round the sink after shaving and it's full of little bits of hair!!! Urgh!!!

And the fact that when doing the dishes he gives up half way through cos the drainer is full...then dry up you. Lazy sod and carry on!!!

Sorry to rant he has pissed me off today Grin

TheCountessOlenska · 25/04/2014 11:32

Much as I adore DH and all his doings .... I always wash the sheets on the night he works away so that I get a night of snuggling in my freshly laundered bed. Then he comes back the next night and rolls himself tightly up in the duvet Confused it gets ...sweaty grrrr Grin

limitedperiodonly · 25/04/2014 11:33

He used to splash water all over the mirrors in the bathroom just after I'd carefully polished away all the other water marks.

He doesn't do that any more after we had words.

PoundingTheStreets · 25/04/2014 11:35

I hate to state the obvious, but seeing as he obviously creates most of the work in your en suite, why not make him clean it?

And the DH leaving shaving residue around the sink should be sent straight back to clean it. Totally disrespectful to leave it for someone else to clean up for him.

Ploppy16 · 25/04/2014 11:35

DS and his sodding hair gel is my current annoyance. His hair is about an inch linger and gelled solid into this quiffy thing that's so popular. The hair gel somehow ends up all over the sink and this morning he couldn't find his comb so used his sister's Tangle Teaser...

Ploppy16 · 25/04/2014 11:36

An inch long. It doesn't linger.

ICanSeeTheSun · 25/04/2014 13:29

Not another toilet thread.

Your DH may think why does she always clean the toilet before I come home from work, knowing that I want to use it.

LittleBairn · 25/04/2014 13:32

I'm feel the same way OP about clean loos.
I once sent DH to work one morning to Poo there, my mum was due to visit that day and I didn't want skid marks, I had just bleached it the night before and I always throw away the loo brush afterwards.

ICanSeeTheSun · 25/04/2014 13:36

Little why throw a toilet brush out unless it wasn't fit for use any more.

My bog brush is 3 years old, still clean and functioning.

Forgettable · 25/04/2014 13:39

Why do these men not clear up their ordure?

Baffling.

Morloth · 25/04/2014 13:40

I don't share the en suite with DH, it is all mine.

Secret to a happy marriage, separate bathrooms.

partialderivative · 25/04/2014 14:29

'Misandry' It's my new word of the month.

MadameDefarge · 25/04/2014 15:54

top tip for toilet brush cleaning. After cleaning loo, dump in your cleaner of choice ( i like good old fashioned bleach) and leave toilet brush in the bowl. Perfect. Just make sure to remove before next usage. Ahem.

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 25/04/2014 15:59

Ooh, my word of the day is "irrelevant", pd. How interesting.

TillyTellTale · 25/04/2014 16:03

I think the key is to stop cleaning the toilet.

Ploppy16 · 25/04/2014 16:05

Was this not a lighthearted thread then??
