to hate DH pooing in my nice clean toilet?

OK it's not my toilet, it's the one in our en suite but it makes me irrationally stabby when I've cleaned it & does his usual come-in-from-work-and-sit-on-the-loo-with-the-laptop-for-an-hour Hmm I might even check for skid marks afterwards Grin

His feet leave lumps of sock fluff everywhere on the newly-vacuumed carpet as well Angry

What post-cleaning events drive you nuts?

I'm not particularly Eco militant but even I'm shocked about the idea of throwing away a loo brush after 1 use. Cripes. Maybe you should ditch the brushes and become a bleacher.

Have a look at this thread.

There are several posters that throw away toilet brushes after one use, keep stocks of several so that they can be changed at an alarmingly regular frequency, or wrap them up in plastic while not being used.

WitchWay · 26/04/2014 07:41

I don't use bleach in the toilet, but I do soak the toilet brush in dilute bleach after using it.

If you genuinely don't want him using your toilet, put something like iodine in the water. Once that splashes up and onto his bits, you'll know your plan has worked when you hear a blood curdling, high pitched scream.

Lol hannah love your little and then you call me a nobber! Get over yourself.
I actually do recycling, don't own a car so walk or use public transport almost 100%, will use cloth nappies (have done previously for work strangely the poo aspect doesn't bother me) have energy efficient appliances, compost and grow own veggies so and try to avoid buying fruit and veg covered in plastic, buy 2nd hand a LOT and other than toliet brushes avoid buying plastic if I can. We will also be building an Eco house at some point in the future.

So please before you bitch about my plastic toliet brush habit (I go through four a month) can you confirm:
If you own a vehicle?
Never buy plastic?
Use cloth nappies?
Ever appliance is energy efficient?
Never buy food encased in plastic?
Buy mostly second hand?

Both my mother and sister have genuine OCD to do with cleaning and routine, seriously this is my one oddity. I do try and deal with it but I haven't seen much councilling avalible wi loo brush phobia.

Love your little RANT

Notfastmainlyfurious · 26/04/2014 08:59

Eat more fibre people, poop will be better formed more efficient and less like to leave skid marks thus negating the need for extreme toilet brush use. Problem solved.

I have never understood the desire for an en suite loo. I don't want to be lying in bed listening to DH's toilet noises. Or the smells when he's finished and leaves the door open.

But in response to OP, shit happens.
