Took dd to MacDonalds today. For us this is a holiday treat as we enjoy the odd burger, although dd is really just lured by the plastic tat in the happy meal TBH. She is slim and eats normally rest of time.

But, bloody hell, the people in there were beyond belief really. Makes me realize how other families actually live and why the health of the country is as it is.

Family 1- all huge, and the youngest dd (aged about 9) was definitely the fattest and not only that she was eating a full sized meal, and worst of all was wearing a full red velour lipsy tracksuit with gold embroidery!!!!!

Family 2- Two boys with their dad, all sat vacantly staring at their food and munching away. First boy opens his (supersize) fries and says "wheres the salt?" Dad doesn't say anything, just fishes in the papers on his tray and passes packet of salt to child. The chips are ALREADY covered in far too much salt, especially for kids, and if the child asks for salt this makes me think this is a regular thing for him, to cover his food in salt.

Don't these people take any responsibility for their health AT ALL?

Aww Katie Hopkins has found a friend. Migsy RTFT.

Caitlin17 · 13/04/2014 13:22

If anyone pays any attention to anything I write on here you may have noticed I am a huge snob about clothes and style but, but, but I am confident that I have never, ever looked at what a 9 year old girl has been wearing and sniggered, not even internally.

ilovepowerhoop · 13/04/2014 13:22

bit OTT to report the thread tbh

Misspixietrix · 13/04/2014 13:25

Not OTT at all Ilove . Bit OTT to judge a 9yo though and then dismiss medical reasons after kinkys post as the OP did though. Simple really don't namechange to be a goady twat and no one wound feel the need the report the OP.

Misspixietrix · 13/04/2014 13:25

No Caitlin most normal humans wouldn't.

WorraLiberty · 13/04/2014 13:26

I'm too lazy to be Prime Minister

Let's push ilovesooty forward Grin

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 13/04/2014 13:30

Fine by me, Worra... Ilovesooty it is! Grin

I'm reporting the thread too... I've namechanged ONCE to post something personal, not involving anybody else, and namechanged straight back again to this one.

It would be fabulous if there was a 'name-changer' kind of Russian Roulette for those who name change to be goady... will they get the bullet on this cowardly post - or that one... that would be excellent!

Migsy1 · 13/04/2014 13:33

I find Katie Hopkins very entertaining although I generally do not share her views.

MissPixie Why do I sound like Katie Hopkins just because I think that it is not OK to allow children to have habits that are scientifically proven to have long term health dangers? In fact, obesity is life threatening.

Would it be OK to allow children to smoke too?

dulldeirdre · 13/04/2014 13:34

burgercat

Yep, probably on benefits and live in a council house.

WorraLiberty · 13/04/2014 13:34

Lying, buying Dale Winton's used pants from Ebay wasn't that personal. I still don't know why you name changed Grin

ilovesooty · 13/04/2014 13:35

Good, I'm glad someone else has reported it. Perhaps ilovepowerhoop you aren't concerned about cowardly goady fucks hiding behind a name change just so that people don't associate their spite with their usual user name. Not all of us feel the way you do. If you can shrug your shoulders and ignore it fair enough. Some of us can't.

bishboschone · 13/04/2014 13:37

My dd is skinny and eats a adult meal and has done for a while. I think it's sad you have been so
Judgmental .

Misspixietrix · 13/04/2014 13:46

You sound like her because overweight doesn't equate overeating in a 100% of cases. Hopkins is as equally clueless on this matter.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 13/04/2014 13:48

Worra... How did you find out? Shock... Busted! BlushBlush

LEMmingaround · 13/04/2014 13:52

I'll tell you the fuckers i judge, thoose people sitting on McD's stuffing their faces with their large meals - skinny as rakes - bastards!!!

Migsy1 · 13/04/2014 13:54

Being overweight nearly always equates to overeating. There is some medications that contribute to being overweight but this not the usual cause of obesity, especially in children.

I still think it is unacceptable to allow/encourage children to be overweight. (Caveat - rare cases excluded).

I also think it is unacceptable to allow your children to do lots of other harmful things.

I don't really care if I sound like Katie Hopkins. I think my view is pretty mainstream. If you don't believe that being fat is bad for you Pixie take a quick look at this.

Here is an extract
"In England, most people are overweight or obese. This includes 61.9% of adults and 28% of children aged between 2 and 15. People who are overweight have a higher risk of getting type 2 diabetes, heart disease and certain cancers. Excess weight can also make it more difficult for people to find and keep work, and it can affect self-esteem and mental health.

Health problems associated with being overweight or obese cost the NHS more than £5 billion every year."

Misspixietrix · 13/04/2014 13:58

this is not the usual cause of obesity especially in children seriously. Go back through the thread. Read kinkys post and repeat that again. You're wrong by the way.

Please don't Raspberry I find all sorts of Juicy and Paul's Boutique clothing equally grotesque. :)

Misspixietrix · 13/04/2014 14:00

Precisely CorusKate!

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 13/04/2014 14:01

Grin @RaspberrySchnapps

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 13/04/2014 14:01

Reported - on the grounds of being goady and the cowardly OP a bit of a spineless twat who hasn't the courage of her convictions to post under a usual username.

I would love to know who it is... anybody know?

Misspixietrix · 13/04/2014 14:01

i'm on the phone so can't link but anyone feel free to link to the effects of prednisolene for one. Often given to children for a variety of reasons.
