They are FOOLS I tell ya

ThePearShapedToad · 09/04/2014 16:41

There's a wrong time to eat chocolate??!

ShadowFall · 09/04/2014 16:43

When is it too early to eat chocolate? Confused

MrsBennetsEldest · 09/04/2014 16:43

Who are these people that say this? In all my 46 hundred years I have never heard of such a thing. Too early for Gin, yes. Too early for chocolate, never.Grin
OP, I think you need to distance yourself from these strange people. It's always choc o clock.

MrsBennetsEldest · 09/04/2014 16:44

So YANBU, they are.

iseenodust · 09/04/2014 16:44

Well they may have a point under 6 months old but otherwise they are mistaken.

The French have it sorted. Chocolat for breakfast and cognac in their cafe au lait

Never too early for chocolate or gin...

MrsBennetsEldest · 09/04/2014 16:49

Gin should only be drunk during waking hours, if you are asleep it's definitely too late or too early. Grin

MrsBennetsEldest · 09/04/2014 16:51

I am testimony to the anti malarial benefits of Gin drinking, I have never had it, not once.Grin

I agree and have now added those people to the official Tiggy Death List.

Bunbaker · 09/04/2014 16:54

Well, I wouldn't want to eat chocolate at this time of day because it would spoil my appetite.

It's not too early for gin though Grin, although I am currently enjoying a cup of tea.

BadgersNadgers · 09/04/2014 16:55

If it's too early for chocolate why did God give us Nutella, Coco Pops, pain au chocolat and that nice cereal from M and S with three types of chocolate in it?

schokolade · 09/04/2014 16:56

In theory YANBU. But for some reason I can't face chocolate until I've been up for several hours. Then it had better watch out...

TiggyKBE · 09/04/2014 16:56

And those flakey French things with chocolate in!

FutTheShuckUp · 09/04/2014 17:01

I've heard a couple of people say it. No friends of mine it tell ye

Chocolate isn't seasonal! YANBU!

TheBigBumTheory · 09/04/2014 17:04

I would never eat chocolate before lunch.

If I was eating it, I'd have it with coffee after dinner.

consideringadoption84 · 09/04/2014 17:05

Never too early in a) the day, b) the year (as in not close enough to Easter) or c) life (age)

If a) YABU, chocolate before 11am is so wrong, if b) YANBU and if c) YANBU within reason. I wouldn't give chocolate to a baby but think it is a bit evangelical to say it must never pass a pre schooler's lips.

TruJay · 09/04/2014 18:55

I've eaten an Easter egg for breakfast before Grin

TruJay · 09/04/2014 18:58

I can understand people saying it is too close to breakfast/dinner/tea/next meal to eat some chocolate if you are about to eat a meal but honestly if i fancy some choc i eat it, never thought "oh, is it too early?"
