Are unreasonable?

I personally don't eat it before lunch (my mum drilled that into me for years) as a general rule.

I don't judge people who do (except my boss, who buys a multipack of chocolate on the way to school - the ones with 3 or 4 bars, has scroffed the lot by the end of period 2 and I have to spend all of break listen to her pondering over why she is the size of a house!)

greenbananas · 09/04/2014 19:23

Chocolate croissants for breakfast. Has to be done on saturdays. Hot chocolate with bread is fine on any day of the week, even at half past six in the morning.

greenbananas · 09/04/2014 19:26

I am not the size of a house (maybe only a little bungalow) so don't feel guilty about eating chocolate croissants in the morning.

Ds1 is skinny like his dad, so if he eats a decent amount of almost anything in the mornings I am happy. Hot chocolate with sausage sandwiches, anyone?

Skylander1 · 09/04/2014 19:26

I'd be sick if I ate it before the afternoon-early evening I don't know why, it just makes me feel really ill so YABU :)

Picturesinthefirelight · 09/04/2014 19:29

I can't eat chocolate first thing in the morning. Would make me feel sick, think my blood sugar level must dip.

It has to be a cup if tea & toast/egg before I can face anything else.

NotShortImFunSized · 09/04/2014 19:44

They are most definitely being unreasonable Shock

No such thing as too early for chocolate!

(Coming from someone who has cake &/or chocolate for breakfast on a regular basis Blush )

afterthought · 09/04/2014 19:49

I've just realised I normally have chocolate cereal for breakfast. But that's not really chocolate is it?????

ICanSeeTheSun · 09/04/2014 19:54

Isn't a person metabolism rate higher in the morning, so it make sense to eat chocolate in the morning.

fayrae · 09/04/2014 19:55

the earlier you eat it the better as you have all day to burn it off.

psychicpaper · 09/04/2014 19:57

I had chocolate ice cream at 9am at work this morning

NunsArePeopleTooDougal · 09/04/2014 19:58

I like your thinking fayrae, though eating chocolate in the evening is just as good!

monkeyfacegrace · 09/04/2014 20:02

Never too early for choc. Or gin. Or whisky.
I drink whisky for breakfast. Im not an alcoholic.

Im a pirate.

Keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 09/04/2014 20:03

People who say/think it's ever too early for chocolate ABU.
Don't see hoe it's different to eating sugary cereal etc for breakfast Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 09/04/2014 20:20

I frequently have chocolate for breakfast. Yummy!!

OneUp · 09/04/2014 20:44

Is there a too early for chocolate :O No one told me that. I like to eat it for breakfast especially when I'm in a rush.

WanderingAway · 09/04/2014 22:11

I find that if i eat chocolate before lunch it tastes funny. Dont ask me why this is because i dont know. So i do say that it is too early in the day for chocolate.

PeggaPip · 09/04/2014 22:12

Nutella on toast?!? My favourite thing for breakfast!!

RedSoloCup · 09/04/2014 22:16

Well I said this when DDs were given chocolate bars by a friends MIL on the way to school one day, yes 8.30am IS too early for chocolate unless it's Christmas, or Easter, or the weekend ,or for me..... ;)

FutTheShuckUp · 09/04/2014 22:29

I'm glad it's not just me. People have given me foul looks when they have heard I've had a walnut whip for breakfast before now!!!

My DH is one of these people! He doesn't eat chocolate before tea time and won't eat biscuits before lunch! So when I polish off the rest of the minstrels he's been eating the night before while I'm waiting for the kettle to boil first thing on a morning he thinks I have issues. He also eats half a normal sized chocolate bar and puts he rest in the fridge...

I could go on, but I won't. I just don't get it
