My byfrien 2 months and I were chatting over FB messenger yesterday teatime. He suddenly piped up with "Wow I think I've just found my perfect woman" so I said "who???" Up then pops a picture of a lass in a black bikini holding a gun. He goes game shooting and likes collecting shotguns.

I said "I think that's the wrong kind of gun to be using on the pheasants" (It was a light machine gun) to which he replied " I don't think I would get a lot of shooting done if she was at home lol"

I then said "Shame I don't look like that then aint it" and he replied "Sure is PMSL"

That last comment made me really upset. I was that upset I was actually shaking.

I did not reply to him and an hour later he messaged me saying "Tesco the only supermarket in the world that has no chicken" and I replied "what a shame" with no kisses as I usually do. I then told him I was very upset by his last comment to which he replied "Is all this because you don't have a gun lol" I said "No" and he told me to stop being moody!!! I told him I was not being moody I was genuinely upset and he told me that I was being over sensitive. I then ranted on as to why I didn't find the comment funny.

He totally ignored these messages and sent me the usual "Morning x" message this morning and I just replied with a hiya and no kiss. No further messages from him.

I then messaged him this afternoon basically saying I don't want to be with someone who makes me feel insecure about my looks and that I don't want to see him anymore.

I think he made an ill-judged joke but didn't mean anything by it.

You didn't tell him you felt hurt - how would he know?

End it if you think it's over, but if you give him a chance to make it up to you, then things might go along well.

I did tell him I felt hurt an hour later and he just said I was being over sensitive and I have received no apology. He has not messaged me since I have messaged him this afternoon so it seems he isn't overly fussed!

We had a conversation a couple of weeks where I asked him outright if we were a couple in a relationship and he said yes.

I hate to say it but after re-reading your OP, I'd say he wanted to end it but didn't want to be the one to do it...that's probably why he sent the pic and made the comments.

Would it help if you rang him or arranged to speak face to face? Texting/emailing is not going to give you the answers you want. Good luck.

puntasticusername I love that expression! The thing is I'm not even upset. There had been a couple of things he had said/done in the past couple of weeks that was making me wonder if I actually wanted to be in a relationship with him and this just sealed the deal.

You've had doubts about him for a while.

I don't think speaking to him will make any difference, If he was going to apologise I'm sure he would of done it via message as soon as I told him I was upset. I was kind of expecting him to be a bit mortified that he had upset me and would be uber apologetic but that's not the response I got so I don't think he's going to apologise now over 24 hours later.

I have OwlCapone. This was the final nail in the coffin after he was at mine both Saturday and Sunday night and nothing sexual happened which I found VERY strange to say the least! It seems more obvious to me know that either he thought I was a nice enough lass but didn't find me particulary attractive OR he was playing games on his terms and enjoyed the power!
