to dislike people just "dropping in"?

It's probably just me being antisocial. I have some friends who repeatedly "drop in" with no prior warning. I'm not particularly house proud and they wouldn't judge me for the house being less than showhome standards anyway. But I really don't like it when they call in and then end up staying for an hour and a half chatting and eating all my biscuits with the assumption that if I'm home, it's ok for them to do so. I don't feel it's ok to not let them in. I'm not really looking for solutions, just wondering if I'm being grumpy and antisocial. Grin

We had an open door policy when I was younger, I fucking hated it. Always my mums unsavoury friends in and out, very unsettling.

I hate unexpected visitors. Most people either know this or learn quickly.

Although vile BIL and his wife had a spell of just turning up unannounced and letting themselves in - until they caught us butt naked in the garage when we were TTC Blush

They've not done it again since, thank god.

Absolutely hate unexpected visitors, I find it incredibly rude. What possible reason is there for not checking first? Even a 5 minute warning. Just don't understand it.
