My DD was the same. She is 2.9 now and until she was 2 never had a daytime nap anywhere other than in the pram, on me or in the car. At 2 and 2 days, she decided naps were for wimps and gave them up
Do you feed her to sleep? This was the other thing, I fed her to sleep (at night) until 19months and after I stopped feeding her to sleep in the day (around 11 months, with a struggle), I rocked her in the pram. The alternative was a grizzly but awake and overtired child.
Some children are like that. I'd like to say given my time again I would do it different, but the girl was so skilled in waking herself up/staying awake that I'm not sure what I could've done differently, assuming my aim is for both of us to be happy and functional. I wish I could have put her in the cot and her drift off eventually like other babies I know.
The only thing I would've done differently is stop feeding her to sleep maybe a couple of months earlier because it actually became a source of massive frustration for both of us. She wakes at 7.30 and goes happily to sleep in her cot around 8 (with me in the room, though this is not essential I don't think, I'm just soft).
Honestly, do what your baby needs and what works best for you both. Give her the chance to go on her own, maybe introduce a comfort toy (buy several the same!), and hope she gets better at it as she gets older but be prepared for her not to! Good luck x
