Because the majority of people on there at the moment are a) whining cunts b) boasting cunts and c) irritating cunts
I know this sounds terribly boring but god FB don't half bring out the worst in some people!

I deactivated fake book nearly a year ago, had no idea how much it around me up in a low level way. Felt much better off it!

I deleted mine ages ago

A lot of people just want to project an image and if annoyed me

I struggled so much with talking to my friends and them assuming us send their status update etc

I feel so much happier off fake book

The trick is to keep your friends list to a maximum of 50. 50 people whose lives you are actually vaguely interested in and who you see regularly (or wish you did).

I just unfriend anyone who annoys me.

I've only got about 20 FB friends, and 2 are on shaky ground for excessive posting of dinner photos. Grin

It's supposed to be a fun way of keeping in touch with people and playing annoyingly addictive games , it's not worth the angst, deactivate or unfriend. It's not compulsory

I've got 62 friends but a lot of my closest rl friends aren't on there. I find myself getting frustrated with them when I can't send them a quick message or whatever Smile.

YY to people being completely different in rl than on Facebook. My Dsis constantly put stuff on her wall about how fab and amazing her DH was, complete with photo's of cups of tea he had made her, baths with candles etc. They were so in love and the rest of us were just such ordinary couples compared to her and DH.

18 months ago we found out that he was an emotional abusive fuckwit who treat her like crap behind closed doors. She has now LTB.

I would love to leave FB but I am so bloody nosey interested in my friends lives.

I'd like to have a gander at the feeds of folk who can't stand it and moan about it all the time to see what kind of stuff and friends they have. I really can't imagine what kind of stuff gets posted that makes them so angsty.

It's great for keeping in touch with friends spread far and wide. We can all have a little stupid chat as though we arein the same room rather than continents away from each other. Can see what their kids are up to and how they have grown etc.

I find these threads baffling. My FB news feed is full of funny family stories, silly photos of people I know and love, cute pets, sweet kids, inane musings and general harmless often hilarious chit chat. I get to keep up with a shitload of people I like that I'd never have the capacity to do so otherwise. It's just a useful communication tool, nothing more nothing less.

Facebook is only as bad as the people you have as friends. It's not FB's failt that some people have added shitty people as friends. Either defriend the people that annoy you or deactivate your profile. I don't understaand all the moaning and complaining about FB.

It's really not difficult to close your account/hide/delete/block what you don't want to see if you don't like it, but it's only filled with what you chose so I don't understand people moaning so much about it
