Started a business with DH, equal shares. Got advice from accountants- we both attended the meetings. Fee invoice and covering letter addressed to DH only. AIBU to think this is sexist?

DP and I are currently buying a house. I viewed the show home twice alone and registered interest for the house, we then viewed together and decided to go ahead. Since the day and hour DP came on the same I have been invisible!

I sent a 5 paragraph email to the builders contact and within 10 minutes she rang DP!! Despite my contact number being at bottom of email. She never acknowledged me at all either by phone or email.

German tax return forms are like this. Even if it's only the wife who has any taxable income, the husband's details are always first. This was the case for us for a couple of years and I found it infuriating.

This is bringing back red mist inducing memories of ringing the National Trust. We opened a membership with them, paid from my account, and before we were married. They not only out then DP first, they refused to deal with me about the membership because I was not the principal member. Despite the fact that DP wasn't paying for it.

They even claimed Gift Aid in his name using my account details! Shock

Finally I'd had e-fucking-nough. I insisted on being the principal member and also said I'd like to change my title. "Oh," simmered the man on the phone, "is that Miss to Mrs, then? We get a lot of those."

"No, it's because you incorrectly have my title down as Miss and it's Dr."

He stfu fast enough Hmm

Surprising how using that title means you get patronized so much less. People obviously sometimes think you're a twat for using it, but they are much less rude.
