"Ladies if your child's father is emotionally, physically or financially available to their child, you are not a single mother you are a single woman."

I have just seen a nobhead on my Facebook post this. I think it is the OR that annoys me the most. Apparently this is "so true" and 14 people have liked it. Hmm

I am not a single mother, so you may feel its not my place to comment on this, but I think it's bloody ridiculous. Aibu?

We had an interesting conversation about this subject a few weeks ago on lone parents,it was prompted by a few posts from nrp's describing themselves as single or lone parents.

My opinion on the matter is if you live with your children for more than 50% of the time and have no partner then you are a lone parent.

I'm not really sure if I think there is much difference between a single parent and a lone parent.but there are differences between lone and co parents.

Either way that does not matter the bloke sounds like a knob jockey
