It's doing my head in. 5 leading actors and I fancy ALL of them. I tried to pick the one I fancied most when he was a simple cartoon dog and that was Aramis, but just one look as sexy Richelieu in his black cloak of evil and I'm a gooey mess.

It's turned me into such a tart, but IABU to want all of them. No? Ok thanks.

Yes telly addicts. No sleb twaddle.

Don't worry LetUsPrey, you were only thinking of us Thanks [first dibs on Athos after me]

LetUsPrey · 25/02/2014 22:14

You can have Athos first . I'm Aramis all the way. All the way.

gumdropsarereallyfallentears · 25/02/2014 22:15

I want a later slot next series..come on and sex it up a bit BBC.

I'm off to watch Third Star...just before bedtime.

LetUsPrey · 25/02/2014 22:17

I cried at Third Star, but it's a very good film so enjoy.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 25/02/2014 22:23

Is Telly Addicts high brow then? Hmm

HannahHorvath · 25/02/2014 22:25

Needs to be Grin

MavisGrind · 25/02/2014 22:26

Well, still in team Athos here ('camp' sounded a bit, well, camp) but will have Porthos on the bench (and in the dressing room, in the dug out etc etc...)
I reckon I'm capable of as much sullen leaning as Athos, we'd be bound to make each other briefly less difficult - my, a match made in heaven. plus I'm permanently single so that works too!
(Sullen leaning=single revelation Hmm)

LetUsPrey · 25/02/2014 22:30

This still from episode one has really given me the giggles Grin

AphraBehn · 25/02/2014 22:48

My considered opinion, after watching two episodes, is a tie between Heroes bloke and the one who looks a bit like Robert Pattinson.

I don't fancy the young one or the chirpy cockney.

Have they all had their own episode where they are the main storyline? I might need to catch up.

MalcolmTuckersMistress · 25/02/2014 23:19

WHAT? Game of Thrones?! Get the hell out of this thread with that. Pleuuuugh! This is cockbuckling swaskcocking speak ONLY!

My next question is...should a law be passed to make it compulsory for all men to have musketeers hairstyles and facial hair? What do we do about baldies? Death penalty? Tower of London?

Shetland pony and husband in dressing gown all ready for the coach arrival. (don't worry husband will get a boot shoved in his face as he tries to enter)

No one has told me their sandwich filling requirements though. I could stretch to some hard boiled eggs and pitta?

Where is the musketeers section on mumsnet? Do you think there is a Musketeersnet where they talk about how much they fancy us?

MalcolmTuckersMistress · 25/02/2014 23:28

I can't believe this thread is now 19 pages! I feel so proud.

There you are MTM! Thought dh had cottoned on and you'd been put in the stocks for unwifey behaviour.

Yes we were briefly overrun by some harpies banging on about Goats of Liver.
I felt outraged on behalf of you and the.... wait for it... The Muffeteers. And yes, with the accent, it is pronounced the way you're all thinking. Wink

Can I please put my hand up for a salami sandwich MTM? Thanks

And pat on back for thread. it is my life and must never end.

MalcolmTuckersMistress · 26/02/2014 07:53

Well well well. How funny you should choose salami! Did you know young Athos holds a Guinness world record for salami slicing? He gets a complete sausage throws it in the air using his finest tennis serve, draws his mighty sword from it's scabbard and then it's "schling schling schling schling" as he finely slices it on it's way down and it lands in a finely arranged platter upon the finest of silver dishes.

Could I be the filling in this quadruple decker? Extra sauce

Would you look at all that weaponry. It's just so ... so ... phwoaarrr but I'm not entirely sure why

LetUsPrey · 26/02/2014 08:23

In answer to AphraBehn's question, they do seem to have had their own episode so far sort of.

Porthos was ep5, Aramis 4, Athos 3. Not sure which you'd say was D'Artagnan's. Possibly mostly ep2 but with a bit of the first one too. Next week's looks quite Aramis-heavy (hurrah!)

Stinklebell · 26/02/2014 08:41

hannah. Jon Snow

gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Jon_Snow

Not bad, but he's no Athos. Bit Whitney and annoying as well

Stinklebell · 26/02/2014 08:42

argh, Whitney - whiney

gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Jon_Snow

Fecklessdizzy · 26/02/2014 08:56

I love GoT with a deep and passionate love ( tempered slightly by the conviction that bloody George RR Slowest-Writer-In-The-Known-Universe Martin is going to peg out before he finishes the series and then I'll never get closure ... ) but I'm afraid that in a no-frills-shag-fest the Musketeers would win hands ( and various other things ) down! The GoT crew are just too ernest and lack the necessary swash and leatherwear ( although that mercenary bloke Danni's got her eye on might do at a pinch ... ) Grin

HannahHorvath · 26/02/2014 09:21

Bleurrrgggghhhhh!

I have also googled him to see if it really was Jon Snow - Broadcaster. (it wasn't)

Think he makes d'Artagnan look rougher than a badgers arse. Eurghh - whiney too you say? Not surprised. Not surprised at all.
Think something about that era makes me think whiney, creepy, self indulged, would roger themselves and their grannies given half a chance.

HannahHorvath · 26/02/2014 09:22

That quadruple decker sandwich picture though...

I want to be Athos' trousers.

MalcolmTuckersMistress · 26/02/2014 09:28

Well I'm having a 12 inch deep pan Richelieu meat feast.

What I think is being overlooked here, is that we're not all about the physicalities.

We're not just some bunch of rampant hussy mums with no morals.

What sets the Musketeers apart from the rest, is that their gorgeousness, is just one of their many attributes.

For instance:
Honourable
Loyal
Honest
leather
Compassion
sweat
Kindness
glinty eyes
Trustworthy ('cept maybe Aramis)
They'd be kind to old ladies.
Help kids cross the road.
Rescue and cure, injured animals.

Not even going to sully that with a smutty comment at the end.

Precisely why we should not talk about them in the same context as Goats of Lizard or Paul Hollywood

What else?...

HannahHorvath · 26/02/2014 10:13

URGENT! Somebody please tell me how I can get a photo on here? I can't link to it as it's not on a web page.

THIS IS A MATTER OF THE GREATEST URGENCY!!!

Stinklebell · 26/02/2014 10:16

Post it to 'your gallery' in your profile on here

You have to make your profile public though

I think, don't hold me to it

HannahHorvath · 26/02/2014 10:22

Ooh thanks Stinkybell Thanks will give that a go.

Am very busy, obviously.
