To think that P&C spaces in supermarket car parks

AIBU to think that where there is a pedestrian pavement down the middle of a supermarket car park, it would make far more sense to have the parent and child parking in a well lit area further away from the entrance. This would mean that the spaces would not get clogged up by drivers without children too lazy to find a space, and in some car parks could be in an area with less traffic.

I am very nice, I just don't think people with no badge and no kids should park where others need to be..

My only crime!

Ocado rules!

No need to park. No need to get bent out of shape about appropriate parking category, and possible reporting of inappropriate use thereof.

Lovely Ocado man brings lovely food straight to my door for £6.99 a month.

Can you tether your goat in a P&C space while you're shopping with the kids? Grin

curiousgeorgie · 21/02/2014 23:06

Depends if the goat has a blue badge Wink

At our local ASDA the P&C spaces are slightly further away from the door than the disabled spaces, and I'm not ashamed to say that I have no qualms about using them. I'm seven months pregnant with a health issue that makes walking very difficult, but also means that anything knocking against my bump is extremely painful, so the extra space is a godsend for me and can mean the difference between me having to go around asda in a hired wheelchair, and even a trip to the hospital.

I would never use a disabled space for this. They need it more than I do. I don't think the woman with a perfectly healthy 12 year old does.
