To think that P&C spaces in supermarket car parks

AIBU to think that where there is a pedestrian pavement down the middle of a supermarket car park, it would make far more sense to have the parent and child parking in a well lit area further away from the entrance. This would mean that the spaces would not get clogged up by drivers without children too lazy to find a space, and in some car parks could be in an area with less traffic.

Do we get a MN bingo moment for Curious assuming I must be pissed up to disagree with her?

Curious come off it! Many of us saw your posts, they were vile. You know it. There was no excuse whatsoever for them.

If you think they weren't wrong then I dread to think what you will be teaching your children!

MollyHooper · 20/02/2014 19:10

The winky face should be banned.

ClaudiusGalen · 20/02/2014 19:11

At least you are only pissed, Madame. I am insert disablist word and a sheep apparently.

Georgie has stated that her daughter is and is not disabled on this thread.

ziggiestardust · 20/02/2014 19:11

And no one ever said 'raze the disabled spaces to the ground'
They said 'can't we have more p&c spaces?'

Doesn't matter if you managed; good for you. Convenience is a good thing. I don't see the harm. Put them where you want; a larger p&c section can only be a good thing.

curiousgeorgie · 20/02/2014 19:12

Wow.. I was warned about these parking threads!

Remember this is the internet guys, it's not real life.

I stand by my posts... Seriously, some of you need to get a grip.

curiousgeorgie · 20/02/2014 19:13

Nope, I said she has hypermobility, that's not disabled.

ziggiestardust · 20/02/2014 19:13

You can't criticise someone's parenting based entirely on 3 or 4 posts!!

A poster said if you can't drive a car, you shouldn't have kids. I mean... What the fuck was that about?! Where was the logic in that even?!

ziggiestardust · 20/02/2014 19:14

How do some of you survive in real life? Do you have actual friends that aren't the internet?

Iaminvisible - my daughter is amazing. She's being taught fantastically... Thanks for the concern Smile

ClaudiusGalen · 20/02/2014 19:14

Georgie And I never said she was disabled 16:53

Georgie Claudius actually laughed at my daughters disability 19:05

blahblahblah2014 · 20/02/2014 19:14

Seriously, some of you need to get a grip.

Says the woman who reported somebody for using a P&C space when they didn't have a child with them! Hmm

curiousgeorgie · 20/02/2014 19:16

Because that's what you called it!

She's not disabled, she had hypermobilty. I've spoken about it a lot on mumsnet.

yawn

ClaudiusGalen · 20/02/2014 19:16

I said if you cannot park a car in a normal space, either don't drive or don't have kids. I did not say if you cannot drive, do not have kids. Don't let the actual words get in the way of your justifications will you.

ANYONE CAN USE THEM - That's the law =)

MadameDefarge · 20/02/2014 19:16

Oh mary, you and your hypotheticals...

ziggiestardust · 20/02/2014 19:17

iaminvisible but they're the rules aren't they? Why did that woman think they didn't apply to her? I'm not getting into re rights and wrong of reporting; baseline, that woman parked somewhere there was a notice not to if she didn't have children with her. She did. She broke the rules.

SauvignonBlanche · 20/02/2014 19:18

But Madame to paraphrase Winston Churchill, in the morning you will be sober, other posters will still be cunts. Smile

ziggiestardust · 20/02/2014 19:18

I do think she's getting a pasting here tbh maryz yeah. And it's a bit gangy uppy. You're grown women. Debate like grown women

IamInvisible · 20/02/2014 19:18

ziggie I saw what curious wrote about a disabled woman. It was vile. She doesn't think it was wrong. It was beyond wrong.
