What the title says really...have 3-4 close friends of whom I always buy for & remember their birthdays as well as their children's & today is my birthday & not one of them has even text me

Don't take it personally people are busy and a bit useless sometimes. Happy birthday!!!

Do they normally mark your birthday? Is it an important one? If so, YANBU. If they don't normally do anything for it, and it's not an important one, then YABU (although I know you're upset ).

Tbh - I never remember my friend's birthdays unless I see it on FB by chance. Some friends 'do' birthdays, others don't - I'm firmly in the latter camp, but it doesn't mean I don't value my friendships.

I was 30 at the beginning of January and I didn't get nothing from my friends nor my sisters! I. "Only" received 6 cards and one of them was from a holiday rep!!! I feel your hurt!!!! So I think your not unreasonable!!! For my family's big birthdays we always chipped in for a big lovely gift! Shame I didn't get that courtesy back!!!

We haven't had any birthdays since but I'll remember this forever!! I was looking at my 21st gifts today like keys and champagne flutes and I felt really bitter! Not a good feeling ;-(
