To ask if you think that Knox is guilty?

I have no idea but it seems that her kissing her boyfriend at the time was seen as suspicious whereas I don't think that this is suspicious at all. DNA is...kissing one's lover.no. It's not even that inappropriate to kiss ones lover in the face of tragedy.
Didn't she do cartwheels though?

I have no idea. I've read so many links now.

Poor Meredith's family. They are so dignified, devoid of any angry vengeance and they are caught up in this hell.

They've sat through all the evidence, trials and theories and seemingly respected the court's decision and police work. So whilst I have no idea - as one website just contradicts the other - I hope Meredith's family are able to put these trials behind them soon.

Poor Meredith Sad

hackmum · 01/02/2014 17:31

The other thing I think, paradoxically, is that someone who was genuinely guilty would have put on a much better show of looking upset and shocked at her friend's death. You wouldn't sit in the police station doing yoga positions - you'd be faking extreme distress.

Mushypeasandchipstogo · 01/02/2014 17:35

I agree with sauce. What help is poor Meridith's family receiving? I do not know if Knox is guilty or not but she sure comes across as a pretty vile and self centre individual.

Groovee · 01/02/2014 17:40

I don't know. But I don't think she's as innocent as she paints herself. She's got an ugly personality and she needs a good long hard look at herself and her behaviour.

stickysausages · 01/02/2014 17:42

My gut says guilty. They might not have actually helped to kill her, but they know more than they admitted, there was a staged break in, bloody footprints etc.

Nancy66 · 01/02/2014 17:43

I think there's a touch of the OJ's about her now. She seems like she's started to believe her own innocence.

Maybe she'll do her own 'I didn't kill Meredith but this is how I would have done it' book.

Theincidental · 01/02/2014 17:46

Definitely agree with that nancy. She's been media coached so much that she seems to truly believe the stories she tells.

The Knox is innocent because... Websites are all also singing very much from knox's lawyers/family's gym sheet.

It is a really horrible example of macabre obsession with "celebrities" of this type.

Theincidental · 01/02/2014 17:47

Hymn not gym!

lottieandmia · 01/02/2014 17:50

To those who think AK is guilty can I just ask what evidence persuades you to lean that way? (Maybe you've read something I haven't) I would have thought there would be some sort of compelling evidence whereas from what I can see it all appears to be circumstantial.

PortofinoRevisited · 01/02/2014 17:57

I am bit bemused about how everyone thinks she is highly unpleasant. Have you met her? Or are you just believing the media spin? I see the DM have some kind of Ice Maiden article on the go today.

LadyBeagleEyes · 01/02/2014 18:03

How can anyone be absolutely sure of her guilt or innocence, none of us can truly know and each side can only read the evidence and form their opinion from that.
Only AK, RS and RG know the truth.
Me, I haven't a clue and what the British media say is neither here nor there, I'm sure the Italian judiciary are not swayed by it, they can only deal with the evidence they see.
I don't understand the certainty from some posters on her innocence or guilt.

mercibucket · 01/02/2014 18:07

a touch of 'burn the witch'

lottieandmia · 01/02/2014 18:36

I don't think she must definitely be innocent. But I do think that there seems to be room for an awful lot of doubt as to whether she had any involvement whatsoever. It seems most bizarre that there was so much evidence that RG had been in the room where Meredith was killed but no evidence that AK or RS were there at all.

I don't think people should ever be found guilty unless there is sound evidence of their guilt.

bisjo · 01/02/2014 18:40

Lemongrass I believe AK speaks fluent Italian.

bisjo · 01/02/2014 18:41

If she is being media coached she needs more help. She came across very poorly in the interview on Newsnight this week.

wowfudge · 01/02/2014 18:46

I'm with bisjo - I believe it has always been stated that AK has an excellent command of Italian and did not want/need the services of a translator or interpreter.

Nerfmother · 01/02/2014 19:33

Oh who knows. We can all read the released evidence how we want really. To me going home from your boyfriends to take a shower rather than staying at his to shower seems fine; to others it was highly suspicious. Based on having been a student (in Italy, weirdly) and what I think from reading the books and seeing her appearances I think she was there when it happened. But we can't know.

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 01/02/2014 19:42

come to this discussion late but for me
my questions are more around why they haven't told the truth.

They have consistently lied and although that doesn't make them guilty of murder in my head it does make their plea of innocence harder to believe.

BoneyBackJefferson · 01/02/2014 19:55

LadyBeagleEyes I agree with you, and I may use the majority of this for the next mccann thread.

PortofinoRevisited · 01/02/2014 20:30

The evidence and the british media seem to diverge somewhat.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 01/02/2014 20:50

She definitely did not speak fluent Italian back then, and her Italian during the trial when they were found not guilty was of - say, an average A level speaker. I wouldn't have called her fluent.

The latest news: RS is back down here in my neck of the woods, at his Dads. He is resolutely "no commenting" when being doorstepped. Meanwhile, the judge has given an interview to the press in which he whinges about how difficult the trial and verdict were for him as "he has children too". The union of judges (or whatever they are) has issued a statement saying his comments are "inopportune".

bisjo · 01/02/2014 20:57

Drank I was commenting on the post above about not being able to talk to her fellow prisoners as they spoke a foreign language, not about the trial.

aquashiv · 01/02/2014 21:39

Who staged the break in?

giraffesCantMakeResolutions · 01/02/2014 23:30

All those saying she LOOKS guilty - did you watch that programme about liars that was on last month? It was about criminals and how they deceive people and the ways they can catch them. Really worth a watch!

Migsy1 · 01/02/2014 23:33

I saw that. I'd love one of those forensic psychologists to analyse her.
