To ask, is Jim Davidson really a nice man?

I was just chatting with OH here and I said I quite liked him on CBB. Apart from a few questionable remarks to Casey he seems a reasonably nice guy. OH reckons he has a bad reputation. Is this true? If so why?

I work in a theatre. I met him in my first theatre job. I was warned not to be in a room on my own with him. He's vile

He used to be a regular guest at a certain hotel I had the misfortune to work at. Revolting man. Would alternate between sheer sleaze (inappropriate remarks etc) and being a complete woman hating prick. I guess he did fit in with the tone of the hotel after all...

My mum always tells me that there was a story in the paper a few years back about him.
Apparently he left a flight before take-off as he found out the pilot was a woman and she might be 'on her period or something'

Just by watching him on CBB you can see what a vile, unpleasant man he is.
He is a fake , but he will probably win.
Even if he wins, I doubt if he will be able to get his career back on track. He is just not funny

He was at Brize Norton getting on the same flight as my partner to the Falklands. He was doing a tour show for the troops, he had two blonde exotic dancers with him as part if the show.

Very emotional for families saying goodbye to their loved ones at the airport. He was very rude, crass and outspoken - mouthing off like a right billy big balls in front of everyone.

Partner saw him a few nights later apparently trying to bang one of the dancers outside the Mess. Whatever he was doing it was pretty crude.

I don't know why he was doing it outside, but partner thought from his behaviour he had one of the girls openly on the go, and seeing the other on the side.

I think him being a nice bloke in the CBB is all an act. I think he's very purposefully trying to come across as humble to try to win people over and improve his terrible reputation. What he said to Luisa the other night was telling. He said something about how audiences love sincerity so if you can act sincere and convince them you are genuine you've got it made. That's exactly what he's doing.

I saw him on some soundbites type programme once and he started talking about his ex wife and did a weird rant about her sitting wearing her mum's nightie or something. .like she'd trapped him.I was shocked by the hatred that was coming off him and thought 'he really really hates women'.

My OH works in theatre and point blank refused to work with him. He was later banned from ever performing on that stage again. Horrid horrid man.
