Angry For slurping his tea and giving it the almighty "ahhh" once hes taken the loudest swallow.
I could literally reach over and slap it out if his hands.

Please share equally annoying moments your DH's regularly do, so I feel less the angry housewife. Grin sniggers

Nice !!

Imagine if it was a DH saying this of his DW ?

I don't get Mumsnet at times . as no doubt many will back you .. Odd.

IamInvisible · 25/01/2014 10:06

Oh my DH does that too!

He has only been back a week after being away for four months so I had forgotten how annoying it actually is. I may have shouted "do you have to fucking do that?" once or twice! Blush

scratchandsniff · 25/01/2014 10:07

Brushing his teeth really loudly and making that disgusting 'hoiking' noise as he clears his throat twenty times in the process. Makes me mad!

IamInvisible · 25/01/2014 10:07

It's a lighthearted thread itsnotthateasy!

FFS this place gets worse!

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 25/01/2014 10:07

Mine chews his tea.... I mean how the hell do you chew tea?

lollerskates · 25/01/2014 10:08

I couldn't be in a relationship with someone who slurped. I'm not being facetious. I literally couldn't.

muppetthecow · 25/01/2014 10:08

My DH has the loudest, stupidest, most ineffectual sneeze known to mankind. Every time he does it I flinch! Especially when it wakes the baby.
He'll sneeze ten/twelve times in a row and then moan about it while DS2 screams Angry

I just want to scream at him that if he learned to sneeze properly he'd only have to do it once. It's not even like he can really help it...

scratchandsniff · 25/01/2014 10:09

Oh dear nobody can have a light hearted thread anymore. I doubt she is actually going to punch him.

itsnotthateasy · 25/01/2014 10:10

Then put "lighthearted" on the subject of thread then !! People are not mind readers you know !

muppetthecow · 25/01/2014 10:10

He doesn't slurp though. I'll give him that Wink

MrsPeeWee · 25/01/2014 10:10

Itsnotthateasy
Oh, can I point out its a bit of harmless humour. I can assure you my husband has also pointed out my very annoying habits also. I can assure you I wouldn't actually 'punch' him.

Always someone to dampen the mood.

Copper · 25/01/2014 10:10

Sniffs!

itsnotthateasy · 25/01/2014 10:11

FFS . . Whatever.

Let me start one saying is it ok to want to punch my DW for over boiling an egg ??

mothergothel2 · 25/01/2014 10:11

Everyone knows domestic violence is funny when its light hearted, sheesh.

scratchandsniff · 25/01/2014 10:11

Isn't it blatantly obvious?

MikeLitoris · 25/01/2014 10:15

If putting 'lighthearted' in thread titles is going to be a requirement around here then I'm off.

It was entirely obvious the op was joking.

Ffs this place is mad sometimes.

Anyway, in answer to op my dp cannot say laptop. He says labtop. It gives me the rage.

Itsnotthateasy - you are right, it is a Foul expression.

IamInvisible · 25/01/2014 10:17

I am going to deliberaliterly ignore those who don't have a sense of humour and need everything s p e l t out to them! Hmm

DH chews yoghurt! How can you chew yoghurt?

tobytoes · 25/01/2014 10:18

Cuppa anyone? :-)

HellsGranny · 25/01/2014 10:19

Apparently I 'chew' my tea too Blush. I can't drink it any other way, it makes me gag.

redshifter · 25/01/2014 10:19

I know it's lighthearted but if this were a man saying this lightheartedly it would seem different to many.

I was punched in the face many times by ex. (once just for slurping my tea).?And when I see it posted in a jokey way it makes me feel bad.

DV is not really a joking matter.

However this my problem. The OP didn't mean to upset me so no harm done really. I look forward to some funny stories of how your partners irritate you.

Nombrechanger · 25/01/2014 10:20

I'm currently having breakfast in bed and brushing any crumbs over to his side Grin so as to avoid the slurpage sounds!

He also does that "I've shoved my toothbrush down my throat for some reason so I'm going to have to make deafening gagging sounds like I'm being sick" noise when he's brushing.

He also farts constantly about 10-15 seconds and then laughs like he's heard a really funny joke.

Saying that, I don't agree with you saying that you want to punch your husband in the face. It is WRONG.

You should punch him and then, whilst he's holding his nose, knee him in the bollocks. Grin

Timetoask · 25/01/2014 10:21

I realise this is meant to be lighthearted, but I honestly think nobody here would take it that way if it was a man talking about his wife.
Talk about double standards!
