Can we have a fun thread?

I will even put if that helps?

I just want a bit of a laugh. There no chatting rubbish, having a joke threads any more.

I dont like it. At all.

Where are the amusing, dont need to feel superior to everyone else people?
Could you all just come in here and hide for a while? I will provide alcohol. And food.

SomethingkindaOod · 09/01/2014 13:57

I would love to see a post from a necrophiliac claiming to be upset by Nina's joke Grin

TheBigBumTheory · 09/01/2014 13:57

Nina

So now we need to hear your other joke, you said there were two...Wink

CaptainHindsight · 09/01/2014 13:58

I really want to start a "AIBU to think denial is not just a river in Egypt?" thread.

Do you think it would go down well?

thekitchenfairy · 09/01/2014 13:58

Sparkling DS is 11 in a few weeks time... followed by a birthday for me i am not really looking forward too.. seems to go so fast!

And yest TBBT this is often the way n January, bit subdued, but even the lighter threads are being shouted down why are so many posters taking themselves so fucking seriously?

HomeIsWhereTheGinIs · 09/01/2014 13:58

Down with PO! What is the point of an online forum if people think you can't complain or be silly about anything, ever, for fear of giving offence?

FFS, it's only a bit of fun.

I would like to contribute leftover mini cheddars and a few bottles of bubbles to this party. Maybe we should create a subset of the site for funsnet chats?

dawntigga · 09/01/2014 13:59

Oh crap, this thread made me go post on that thread, bugger!

Still, it's good to get things off your chest once in a while.

Did somebody say there was chocolate?

thanks captain my laptop is now nicely dressed in butternut squash soup... Grin

Sparklingbrook · 09/01/2014 14:01

It really does kitchenfairy. I feel like nicking a newborn for the day just to have a sniff and a reminisce (not to keep though). Grin

Give me a clue which thread is bonkers-it's hard to differentiate these days.

DameDeepRedBetty · 09/01/2014 14:01

Totally agree, it's been getting silly round here. I'd just read that thread about the pushchair woman missing the bus too, and was gobsmacked at how many people had not read the OP properly let alone the rest of the thread before squawking 'ENTITLED BITCH'.

Thanks for Rob Lowe btw...

thekitchenfairy · 09/01/2014 14:01

so far i am not doing too well on the dry january thang...am not on school run today but may find myself going for a run tonight to sainsbury's wine aisle

dawntigga · 09/01/2014 14:01

BloominNora as much as appreciate the visuals, and I do, his politics gives me the sads. Also in that category goes Adam Baldwin, who's work I luff (especially Firefly/Serenity) but whom I CANNOT read about or follow on Twitter because of the extreme sads his views give me.

thekitchenfairy · 09/01/2014 14:03

sparkling My oldest friend is about to have her first after 7 yrs ivf sniff it has made me impossibly broody, no matter that i am just going back to work, we can't afford it, the DSs would not be impressed... I keep getting waves of that smell, and LO isn't even here yet!

DameDeepRedBetty · 09/01/2014 14:03

Oh and I went to Lidl yesterday so there is still a little bit of chocolate okay so I ate two thirds of it last night

Ilovexmastime · 09/01/2014 14:04

Ok, I give up on the llama and am going for necrophilia instead with this little offering which Nina has just reminded me of:

"I used to be a necrophiliac, until some dirty rotten cunt went and split on me"

Sparklingbrook · 09/01/2014 14:04

OMG kitchenfairy that is fantastic. You will get to squidge the newborn. Envy

thekitchenfairy · 09/01/2014 14:05

there is a rather a lot of 'teacher is always right' on here ATM, I am in a really shitty situation at school with youngest but can't be arsed to post here for all the shouting I'd receive and frankly I get enough of that between after school and dinner time!

thekitchenfairy · 09/01/2014 14:05

the river of sweetcorn seems a dim and distant memory...

Sparklingbrook · 09/01/2014 14:06

I am still yearning for a Dan Snow boss type thread to get all immersed in. Blush

dawntigga · 09/01/2014 14:06

what shall I buy at Aldi even though I'm not supposed to be buying anything that isn't on the list

thekitchenfairy · 09/01/2014 14:07

ISn't it sparkling i am more excited for this than 11 yrs ago when it was me! she won't bloody know what will hit her as she already has schedule for PFB (arf) so will be directed here accordingly.. tho must be careful not to promise lots of FunsNet to her Grin

Sparklingbrook · 09/01/2014 14:07

The giant chocolate jazzies were v cheap dawn.

k2togm1 · 09/01/2014 14:08

Is it bad of me to laugh at those two jokes? Or just a show of the state of affairs?

What is MN Bingo?

BloominNora · 09/01/2014 14:09

Really Dawn? He's a Democrat no? He's certainly spent a lot of time stumping for them.

Leans towards the right of the party sure, with an emphasis on the individual, everyone for themselves, but that doesn't strike me as much different to your post of the bus thread (unless that was supposed to be ironic!

Anyway - I have no intention of launching a political debate with him, just drooling over that body Grin

thekitchenfairy · 09/01/2014 14:09

dawntigga you absolutely nust not leave withouta snow shovel. £5.99.

DS was v upset it never made it to the trolley and he tried 3 times ''But its RED mum...we will need it when it SNOWS..!"

or, failing that the cremant du jura is fab and aldi oatcakes are the best value in town!

HeinzDoofenshmirtz · 09/01/2014 14:10

There are some really gobsmackingly cuntish posters about at the moment, and yes, definitely more than 'normal' whatever that is.

Not much fun to be had for weeks.

I fear we are in danger of being outnumbered.

btw

I always love to see DawnTigga post on a thread, - helps to cheer me up a little for some reason Smile
