Friends of ours are due their first baby any day soon. They've sent a email and announced the sex and said that they will announce the name when baby is born.

BUT

They've also the name 'will surprise everyone' and 'we'd appreciate it if you don't make any comments that aren't positive- this is our decision'.

What the fuck have they named this child? I am DYING to know. It's just unfair!

Ophiotaurus I bet your near the mark. Anyone who is pretentious enough to do this wouldn't be in the least bit phased by the Taliesin, Tiberius, Achilles classics type names so wouldn't bother with the warning.

The Kevin, Clive, Nigel, Norman normal names won't feature in their universe.

The Victorian old - fashioned but still euphonious and not embarrassing names don't need a warning but the Victorian and ugly ones do.

Caitlin17 · 05/01/2014 01:06

Birdybear if anyone does pick the winner I'm happy to make a small donation to the charity of their choice!
Oh and stupid phone Ophiotaurus " you're near the mark"

MrsCakesPremonition · 05/01/2014 01:12

I wanted to call DS Zaphod, but not enough to actually go through with it.
Turns out that Zaphod would have suited him perfectly. He has an ego the size of a planet, a total absence of tact and a tendency to charm strangers off their feet. He only lacks the extra arm and head.
