PacificDingbat · 25/12/2013 19:25

Bah humbag, Dr Whateverhisnameisagain, pfffffft!

I am watching Dinner for One. For the 2nd time. Not entirely soberly. I may have pulled a stomach muscle Xmas GrinXmas GrinXmas Grin

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 25/12/2013 19:27

Conversation at Tee Towers:

How long is Doctor Who?
An hour.
I'd better go pee.
You'd be fine if you had a Tardis.

Evening all

Dc off to sleep on sofas. I'm terribly drunk Grin

About to watch some telly now I think

LineRunner · 25/12/2013 21:06

Fell asleep on the sofa watching Dr Who. Came round, to see Peter Capaldi staring at me.

It must be Christmas.

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 25/12/2013 21:11

You missed nothing Liney.

Was the oddest Doctor Who.

Trills · 25/12/2013 21:29

Why does the thing at the bottom say "doctor who tardis"?

What other kind is there?

PacificDingbat · 25/12/2013 21:36

My tardis, Trills - yes, I am a TimeLady... Xmas Shock.

Nope.

Bored. I'm not actually. Sorry. CBA with this time travel stuff.

Nope, not drunk. Not entirely sober either, mind - just right [hic]
I just don't 'get' Dr Who or why it generates such a following.

Ah, Rollo, sometimes we just cannot help ourselves. Don't sweat it - you cannot take it back and it sounds like he responded in kind. Hope you get a good sleep and that your DD lets you sleep Thanks

LineRunner · 25/12/2013 21:50

Rollo, don't worry about it. Tomorrow is another day.

MaryzBoychildCheeszuzCrizpz · 25/12/2013 21:56

Right, I'm just about to drink my first Wine of the day.

I have not: told my brother to fuck off, walked out in a huff, shouted at any of my children, been rude to my parents, or sworn at anyone at all.

I am a fucking saint.

MaryzBoychildCheeszuzCrizpz · 25/12/2013 22:01

Good for FidBoy.

Not so good for Liney's ex Hmm. And Rollo's ex.

Yay for Tardis, probably. Though I missed Who.

I shall now prowl the board and pick a fight because I feel ragey and there is no one here deserving of my rage.

LadyBeagleEyes · 25/12/2013 22:06

Indeed a saint Maryz since my sister glugged half the Baileys last night and a glass of my Cava , a Christmas present from ds, even though she brought her own special bottle of champagne which I assured her I wouldn't touch as it's her Christmas treat.
My dn took it upon herself to take a glass of it to prevent her passing out by midday but she still had to go to bed while I made the dinner.
I had words but no full blown fights.
Yet.

PacificDingbat · 25/12/2013 22:09

I shouted at the darling offspring once. Loudly.
Loud enough to startle them in to stopping getting more and more physical with each other.
Honestly, this lot could start a fight in a UN Peace Conference.

I shouted because I am not a saint like MaryZ Blush

MaryzBoychildCheeszuzCrizpz · 25/12/2013 22:14
  • I'm not entirely sure I could have coped with alcohol theft.

Pacific, I only didn't shout because they are all old enough to shout back. Louder. And old enough to curse more volubly.

Also, it wasn't the kids I really wanted to yell at [cryptic]

I think I prefer Christmas in my house, even though it's much more work and involves cleaning

OP posts:
PacificDingbat · 25/12/2013 22:20

We were at ours in our un-cleaned house and drank all our own alcohol Xmas Grin.

I just kept it slow and steady Xmas Grin

ginslinger · 25/12/2013 23:08

I have been very pleasant to an elderly aunt despite her insisting on telling us about her dentist who is 'a coloured gentleman' who is actually very nice.

LadyBeagleEyes · 25/12/2013 23:18

Grin at Ginslinger.
Dn (as in my darling niece because she is) has just got a call from her DP on the landline as 02 has been down because of the gales so she is happy, happy happy.
Which makes me happy as she's been about down this evening.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 26/12/2013 02:49

LBE Shock

Glugging the Baileys is surely a hanging offense!

offense? offence? never sure

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 26/12/2013 02:52

Rollo don't beat yourself up, sounds like you did what you did for a v good reason - viz. wanting DD to speak to her dad on Christmas.

I've never admitted this publicly but I don't really get the Dr Who thing either Blush

PacificDingbat · 26/12/2013 09:25

The morning after the night before - my house seems to have been taken over by empty boxes and wrapping paper and the fridge is fuller than it was yesterday. How is that possible? Confused

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 26/12/2013 10:02

Must be Boxing Day. We're nearly out of milk and bread.

And it's peaceful as a small boy has new apps for his LeapPad!

I'm am in mega pain thanks to too much cooking and playing on the floor. I'm heading to bed soon. Possibly with the rest of my box of Thorntons...
