To spend £1,000 on a 4 night Butlins Bognor break?

That's the quote for 4 nights in a 3 bed gold apartment in the Easter hols, with the cheaper breakfast/dinner option. Sounds a lot of money, would it be worth it? Just want a post winter break with stuff to keep the boys amused (9, 6 & 3) while I sit and feel knackered

No way don't do it... I live just round the corner, over the years have taken the children in for the day and half way through we have done everything there is to do. The swimming pool is always totally packed, and unless the weather is great it's no fun being outside.. there is some nice hotels which I believe are much better than the chalets. Which I used to clean in my teenage years ;) but still you'd have to pay me to stay there. Bognor is a dive too.. Nothing here worth seeing, save your money and go somewhere else.

I would have a look at keycamp french life and canvas , etc and see what you could get a caravan for. TY Nadan was a hliday my kidds still talk about and they are 17 and 21 now. its still going strong and looks even better than when we went. You can get caravans, piosh tents and chalets there some with extra rooms so it may be possible to get something cheap. there are kids clubs and loads of activities on most of the french sites and depending on where you live ferries / cars / tunnel are not too costly. maybe not within your budget but I agree that the price seems a lot for Butlins.

I enjoyed it there but I wouldn't pay that.

A few people have mentioned French caravan park holidays which are fab in the summer but just out of interest are many of the activities and facilities available at Easter?
