To think psychics are all fakes?

I don't like that they take peoples money when they are in a vulnerable place, lost loved ones etc. It's immoral. Just my opinion.

Thoughts? Opinions?

YouAreMyFavouriteWasteOfTime · 11/12/2013 20:18

...but you only do it to help people. to share your gift. you charge just to cover your costs so you can help more people.

HettiePetal · 11/12/2013 20:20

LambinsideaDuckinsideaTrout · 11/12/2013 20:20

Hettie

Travel. You want to travel.

Yours mind says it is not practical

The money is there if you really want it. Cut the ties and go.

FairyTiggybelle · 11/12/2013 20:25

YABU.

Not all are fakes. Some are idiots who believe they can really do it.

redrubyindigo · 11/12/2013 20:27

Lambs

You have a really tough time lately with HUGE changes and disruption

Have two become one? A joining together?

Why can't you get your head around it? There is a weight on your chest.

Stop over analysing everything!

I am making this up by the way!

HettiePetal · 11/12/2013 20:28

Spoooooky.

I told DS last night that if I had the money I'd go and live in Sweden.

Hot damn, Red, you are very good at this.

Grin

I do love Okay's "You were young". It's the nudey pix, isn't it? We all did it Wink

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 11/12/2013 20:28

curlew I never said that there was anything supernatural about being psychic. In fact my post is trying to explain how being 'psychic' is something we all are to some degree or other. Perfectly natural and normal.

I personally dislike the term ' psychic' because of the bullshit that comes with it. I prefer to call the few genuine psychics I know of intuitives or metaphysical counsellors.

Rachelx92 · 11/12/2013 20:29

I'm a complete sceptic with psychics but I did have a lady approach me a couple of years ago asking me if I wanted my palm read when I was out shopping (without my dd) and I said no and carried on walking and she shouted after me that I was going to get engaged and have another baby. Since then I haven't got engaged or had another baby but it did spook me a bit that she said ANOTHER when I didn't have my first with me

BackOnlyBriefly · 11/12/2013 20:33

Surely there are counsellors offering ordinary advice and then there are others offering magic. They are not really the same thing.

This thread has been EPIC.

Baldrick, you've been hugely entertaining, thanks so much for putting yourself out on our behalf. Very good of you to go as far as you did in the name of comedy.

Hettie, you're a hero and if I ever meet you irl, I'm buying you a drink that will be empirically verifiable as being extremely large, and containing exactly as much alcohol as you would like best (including "none", idk your preferences).

I would like to nominate vtechjazz as Winner of the Thread for "gravity is ghosts pushing down on stuff".

HettiePetal · 11/12/2013 20:52

It's perfectly possible to have a logical debate about personal beliefs - it's the only kind of debate you can have.

Helps if the other side understands logic, of course.

HettiePetal · 11/12/2013 20:54

I think I love you a little bit, Punt.

It's Christmas. I'll have a pint of small Bailey's.

:)

DioneTheDiabolist · 11/12/2013 20:55

Hettie, can you explain how? What would a logical debate on personal beliefs look like?

HettiePetal · 11/12/2013 20:55

Congrats, Lamb Thanks

puntasticusername · 11/12/2013 20:57

Baileys it is. You might need it, looks as if you might not be done quite yet Wink

Chin chin.

HettiePetal · 11/12/2013 21:02

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, Dione.

Is it because you don't think personal beliefs should or do conform to logic?

I agree that they often don't - but they should do in order to be considered rational.
