shouldnthavesaid · 07/12/2013 13:42

What's wrong with sounding like you're 'forrin'?

SpottyChristmasCakes · 07/12/2013 13:42

Agree with SP. I know it's texted but I think saying it makes me sound stupid

HanneHolm · 07/12/2013 13:43

It sounds like English is not your first language, and you arent that good at it,you know what I mean

NipLash · 07/12/2013 13:44

Texted sounds wrong. I've never seen a definitive rule on this, so I will continue to say Text. It sounds better to me.

chateauferret · 07/12/2013 13:44

Bollocks. HTH.

BunnyLebowski · 07/12/2013 13:45

I'm with SP too.

Saying texted makes you sound like you're slow.

And I also say Haitch.

So nyer.

Wolfiefan · 07/12/2013 13:46

TextED. Just is.

SPsWantsCliffInHerStocking · 07/12/2013 13:47

I say tex by the way. There's no t at the end of text

gamerchick · 07/12/2013 13:47

There's no such word as texted Angry even my predictive text whinged.

iklFaceOfBooe · 07/12/2013 13:49

Say 'he sent me a text'. Texted just sounds wrong. Like cutted or inputted.

HanneHolm · 07/12/2013 13:50

AH! i think saying " he text me" makes you sound like an ugg wearing hun tbh.

ZombieMojaveWonderer · 07/12/2013 13:50

HanneHolm · 07/12/2013 13:50

OP posts:
ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 07/12/2013 13:52

Texted her just sounds all kinds of wrong. Tte textettetettettr

tabulahrasa · 07/12/2013 13:53

Could be worse, my DP once used texties as the plural Hmm

Fakebook · 07/12/2013 13:53

It's actually "text messaged"... Or "messaged".

On phone handsets they're always labelled "messages" not "texts".

donnie · 07/12/2013 13:53

Op - where is your source which clarifies that 'texted' is the past declension of 'text'?

Wolfiefan · 07/12/2013 13:53

Agree.
I text him = hun lol hoody crowd!
Snob too!

ZombieMojaveWonderer · 07/12/2013 13:53

PrimalLass · 07/12/2013 13:53
