Father Christmas should never make fun of children!! Mario is a great name and people are waaaay too critical of name choices. Whatever you're called, even if it is a bit out there, people should be polite about it. But Mario isn't laughable in the slightest.

My cats name is Mario so I think its alright. He is a strangely Italian looking cat,I know that sounds weird but he does. He looks tough and I suppose sexy to lady cats.

How old is your ds? he could just have been checking as I remember a child at school giving a fake name to santa to check if he was real, and using this as proof he wasn't when he carried on calling her the fake name.

I was with a friend who took her sons to see Santa one year.

There was a queue & Santa done a walk about - he stopped by us & asked what the boys names were, (possibly outing me) friend says Ronan & Liam. Santa says "oh, could mammy not decide if she preferred boyzone or oasis?"
