In dds class and her teachers? Think there's about 30 all together.

Really fancy doing it. I can get the stuff from £1 shops.

D you think this would be daft? And what would you think if your child received it from another child?

Oh I used a candy cane in it as a hook for the tree too (£2.00 on offer in poundland for 48)

DoItTooBabyJesus · 02/12/2013 22:03

Lovely idea.

Totally unnecessary and nasty comment from Brad.

OP, hope you get well soon.

FiscalCliffRocksThisTown · 02/12/2013 22:03

Nice idea

Me, I have volunteered to dress as an elf at the Christmas Bazaar!

Much worse.

TyrannosaurusBex · 02/12/2013 22:03

Fab idea. The children will love it.

stealthsquiggle · 02/12/2013 22:04

I might be a tad embarrassed that you had got gifts for all of them (I don't do presents for school friends at all) but DD would love it.

My first thought on reading the title was "surely snowman soup = water Confused?"

Mummytotwox · 02/12/2013 22:04

The hot choc is the powder at the bottom. X

Can I ask you what bags you use? Do you get the cone shaped ones, or just use sandwich type bags? I quite fancy making them for my class.

HoneyDragon · 02/12/2013 22:04

(Can you tell I try to cost it down when doing it in bulk Grin)

MogTheForgetfulCat · 02/12/2013 22:05

DS1 got one at our school's Christmas Fair - he was v chuffed with it so I reckon it would go down really well Smile.

Dysgu · 02/12/2013 22:05

I am a primary teacher and have done this for the class as a Christmas gift in the past. I also add a candy cane as a stirrer. I have always had positive feedback when I have done it.

I have had a few children in my classes over the years who have given gifts to the whole class: homemade fudge especially so if you and DD want to do this then I don't see why not.

Just an idea, you can use white chocolate powder instead of the milk chocolate powder for optimum snowman-ness in your soup.

HoneyDragon · 02/12/2013 22:13

I'm doing gingerbread reindeer this year, except I'm using the Mnet Xmas biscuit recipe instead

SaucyJack · 02/12/2013 22:15

They look lovely, but I wouldn't be impressed if one child came home with one, and I then had to rush round to the Co-op to make something similar meself for my other child seeing as you asked.

LEMisafucker · 02/12/2013 22:15

BrianTheMole · 02/12/2013 22:15

They look fab. My dc would love them. Great idea.

ApplesinmyPocket · 02/12/2013 22:17

I think it's a lovely idea. I am an oldie, but I still remember the delight of little surprise Christmassy things happening at school in December, and the pleasure of an unexpected treat to eat.

What a nice thing to do, Mummytotwox

Mummytotwox · 02/12/2013 22:17

Lol my children don't give to receive x

It's chocolate powder, marshmallows, and chocolate chips.

You make it at home and stir together with the candy cane lol x
