Lazy Sunday with a slight hangover and watched a couple of repeats.

I really don;t understand the criticism for the show. I mean you might not like Jeremy Kyle himself but the show?

No one is forced to go on and they seem to provide excellent aftercare for people. I saw one where a guy made the choice to go to rehab straight after the show (funded by them) and he came back on and had got his life back together.

Im obviously just an awful person then.There is nothing else for it.

Congruence, empathy,and self-reflection are really important in counselling training, Limited. Honestly, it will make you a better student if you are able to reconsider your views and listen to what people are saying, even if it makes you uncomfortable. You are clearly not a 'bad person'- you sound caring to me- but we all have learning to do, don't we? Sometimes it's hard to admit you might be wrong on an issue, but if you can rise to the challenge, it will stand you in really good stead when it comes to your studying.

I have got the wrong end of the stick then, sorry. I didn't scroll back to check, but I thought I'd remembered you saying that you were interested in counselling and helping people, and I misinterpreted.

Did you read that last link I posted? It is very illuminating about the real nature of the show, whether you're a counselling student or not. It's the one written by an undercover reporter.

Nobody forces people to go on the show so meh their lookout.
