Recently something has been bugging me but it seems many on here share a completely opposite opinion & get very defensive and sometimes nasty about it

Aibu to feel like I cant post with getting a bollocking about something I would have a seconds thought about?

OP posts:
curlew · 25/11/2013 11:12

You won't know if you don't try!

TwoLeftSocks · 25/11/2013 11:13

Maybe don't post it in AIBU?

LambChopsRarePlease · 25/11/2013 11:14

Fuck it, just post it and if you get bollocked so what?

Words on a screen.

You might learn something or you might see there are others who agree and feel the same.

What is it?

Is it about how annoying it is when people post utterly vague threads in the hope that posters will give them lots of attention by asking what on earth it could be?

Golddigger · 25/11/2013 11:16

Dont post in AIBU

perhaps find a nicer board and slightly word your question to fit that particular board?

Agree that you may have a problem from your op.

Is is a problem, or a vent,, or a question or statement for debate?

Tiredmumno1 · 25/11/2013 11:16

Exactly as others have said. Give it a whirl and put it in chat. Although it depends on the subject I guess, as to what responses you get.

killpeppa · 25/11/2013 11:16

cocacola

no actually. Im not looking for attention. I was simply asking

mardy cow

OP posts:
Golddigger · 25/11/2013 11:17

Alternatively dont post about it.
I have left my ideas or 2 or 3 days and then dont end up posting at all. Best way sometimes.

harticus · 25/11/2013 11:17

What's wrong with bunfights?

killpeppa · 25/11/2013 11:17

Look I'll post in chat & await the fury hahaSmile

OP posts:
Amrapaali · 25/11/2013 11:17

Lunatic it doesn't matter if it is in Chat. Nowadays, people are more than willing to jump down a poster's thread even if he/she hasn't asked if they are reasonable or not.

Go on OP, post it. We haven't had a bunfight in a while Smile

Unless it's a very sensitive issue. Then, it really isn't worth it.

Golddigger · 25/11/2013 11:17

There is the 30 day topic, and another one hth

LambChopsRarePlease · 25/11/2013 11:19

Ha

Only1scoop · 25/11/2013 11:19

Getting a little tired of hearing 'bun fight' banded around....Can we change it to 'jam doughnut fight' or 'chocolate brownie brawl' or something....

Golddigger · 25/11/2013 11:19

Word it carefully op. Especially the subject title.
And I dont like to say this, but especially if it is likely to be controversial, try toget the spellng right, as there are unfortunately some who will jump on a thread that is controversial and isnt spelt right.

LambChopsRarePlease · 25/11/2013 11:20

What is the title going to be, I want to check out the bunfight.

harticus · 25/11/2013 11:20

Oh bugger.
I only came on here whilst waiting for the kettle to boil.
Now I have to hang around and see what happens next.
I hate this bloody site .....

LambChopsRarePlease · 25/11/2013 11:20

Ah bugger, full stop instead of > ?

LambChopsRarePlease · 25/11/2013 11:21

Comma even...

Amrapaali · 25/11/2013 11:23

And it's not just correcting the spelling.

It's a whole host of "Ha, you don't even know how to spell, how the hell can you ever bring up a child/sustain a marriage/make a pot roast/become the next Clare Balding..?" that is really annoying.

Pointing out bad spelling to win an argument is the lamest of the lame.

killpeppa · 25/11/2013 11:25

'killpeppas fear'

just asking, dont actually kill peppa.Smile

OP posts:
jeanmiguelfangio · 25/11/2013 11:26

I am totally up for a brownie brawl, post it!!

Crowler · 25/11/2013 11:26

The OP in the P&C parking thread got a severe bollocking. I didn't understand that.

I agree it's mean to pick on spelling mistakes unless they are totally irresistible.

WorraLiberty · 25/11/2013 11:54
