STOP IT (DH)

Anydrinkwilldo · 24/11/2013 11:06

I have to ask DH a hundred times a day to STOP feeling himself. Hands down pants constantly. WHAT is it about men feeling themselves. I tell him to stop and 2 minutes later he's doing it again. I may just chop it off....

OP posts:
Gruntfuttock · 24/11/2013 11:28

Yuk. I've never seen my husband do it and we've been together since the 1970's so it's not all men.

NeoFaust · 24/11/2013 11:33

My brother is a young officer in the armed forces. He is taught decorum, discipline, etiquette, horse riding and correct table manners.

But if relaxing and unwatched for more than a moment, his hands will slip inside his trousers.

He says it's warmer.

Gruntfuttock · 24/11/2013 11:42

Well whatever you say to men who annoy you by doing this, for goodness' sake don't tell them to "Get a grip!"

icetip · 24/11/2013 11:54

unless he's actually wanking in the public eye why don't you just let him alone...

Tee2072 · 24/11/2013 11:57

'Stop fiddling in public and yes our living room is public. If it itches, go wash!'

Is what I say. To my husband and my son.

LittleTulip · 24/11/2013 11:59

Not quite hands down pants but my DH loves to pick at his toe and fingernails. He doesn't realise he's doing it most of the time.

Gruntfuttock · 24/11/2013 11:59

How would these men and boys feel if their mothers/sisters/daughters sat doing this all the time?

Chippednailvarnish · 24/11/2013 11:59

I can't stand this.
The idea of shaking hands with a man who does this is vile.

nennypops · 24/11/2013 12:05

Buy a water pistol and shoot him down there with it every time he does it. With any luck the clammy cold feeling plus the embarrassment at looking as if he's wet himself will have the desired effect.

Bigbrassband · 24/11/2013 12:08

I've never seen DH do this. DS does shove his hand down there but in all fairness, he is still in nappies. Is your DH in nappies, OP?

catgirl1976 · 24/11/2013 12:17

If you can't put your hands down your pants in your own home............

paxtecum · 24/11/2013 12:23

It is gross.

It must be like having a three year old.

Tell him to go and sit in the bedroom if he wants to feel himself.

Fairenuff · 24/11/2013 12:24

Does he do it at work?

natwebb79 · 24/11/2013 12:35

Do some men actually do this?! Urgh!

ForalltheSaints · 24/11/2013 12:37

You are not being unreasonable. I like the water pistol idea.

Bowlersarm · 24/11/2013 12:40

There has been a thread about this recently. The outcome was that some men do it a lot, some men sometimes do it, and some men never do it. As to would expect.

In my house, DH does, ds1 does, DS2 and ds3 don't.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 24/11/2013 12:51

Ive never, ever seen my DP do this...it sounds disgusting, does he wash his hands afterwards?!

BigWellyLittleWelly · 24/11/2013 12:57

I've never never seen my.DH do this

Thats not to say he doesn't but I've never seen him and we'll have been together 7 years!

Writerwannabe83 · 24/11/2013 13:26

My husband likes his hands down his pants - apparently it is warm and cosy Hmm I really can't see the harm personally Grin

CoffeeTea103 · 24/11/2013 13:28

I've never seen DH do this. I do know that it's comforting for some people though.

Objection · 24/11/2013 13:32

Argh, I feel your pain!!! I started a thread about this a while ago... OH stills does it; even in public he "adjusts" over his trousers. I've take to loudly saying "stop touching your penis!" when he does.
Its declined in frequency slightly since but he does get arsey and tells me off for being embarrassing Grin yeah, cause I'm the embarrassing one...

AliceinWinterWonderland · 24/11/2013 13:35

This drives me nuts. DH & DS1 do this, and I am constantly saying "stop it."

Can you imagine the heart failure your DH would have if YOU had your hands in your pants while sitting around? Perhaps you should try it and see if he says anything. Grin DH would be horrified, but cannot get why I hate it when he does that. (although to be fair, he doesn't actually put his hands IN his pants, he is just forever readjusting or slightly rubbing the area on the outside of his trousers.

Objection · 24/11/2013 13:35

*taken to

AliceinWinterWonderland · 24/11/2013 13:39

I actually get a bit of hysterical giggles thinking "maybe I should do that while we have company (like MIL Grin) - just sit in the big living room chair, swing one leg over the arm of the chair, and have a right good scratch while everyone is sitting there...." Blush

I'd probably just die of embarrassment and don't think I have quite the nerve to do it. Although perhaps it would show DH how dreadful it really looks.

KringleCandleLover · 24/11/2013 13:40

My dbil does this. Though he does seem to jiggle his balls from hand to hand.

Testicle Tennis is what we onlookers call it.

Seems to be more activity when he wears jogging bottoms.

My dsis is contemplating some good old Tanga briefs for Christmas to see if bunching his tackle up all nice and snug will do the trick.

I agree that in his own castle home, its fine.

My problem is when it occurs outside the confines of his 4 walls. I'm sick of disinfecting my doorknobs after he's visited.
