best friend had sex when looking after my dts

I know nothing came of this, but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Whilst my best friend and her husband were looking after my dts last weekend, he spent 3 hours doing the ironing (a novelty for him believe me!!). His 'payment' for this was a 'quick shag'. His excuse - he was feeling horny.

So basically, whilst the dts and their daughter of the same age (5yrs) were outside playing on the trampoline in the garden, they had a quickie. She tells me it lasted a matter of minutes Shock but the principle is the same - surely?

She is still my best friend and I love her to bits but feel slightly weird about this scenario. Should I?

i find it odd - they're supposed to be looking at the 5 year olds. what would have happened if they'd had an accident on the trampoline and the friend was mid-shag so didnt realise?

cant people control themselves?

MammaTJ · 22/11/2013 20:57

Would you have minded if they had taken a few minutes out to have a cuppa?

Daddypigsgusset · 22/11/2013 20:57

MINUTES? ??? For a quicky???!

meditrina · 22/11/2013 20:58

Perhaps they were bent over a window sill, and the DC were surveillance throughout?

MistAllChuckingFrighty · 22/11/2013 20:58

what is your AIBU question exactly ?

you seem to find it as "amusing" as your friends

btw, I work in a children's A+E dept

a large percentage of serious accidents involving children are around the use of trampolines, many of these children were not adequately supervised

still finding it funny now ?

bochead · 22/11/2013 20:59

Any couple true, the married bit is irrelevant.

I hereby admit I'm an old prude lol!

There's a time for everything and when 5 year olds are bouncing on the trampoline, just isn't the time. If I'm watching some else's kids then that's what I focus on 100% iyswim. I'd never forgive myself if there was an accident.

bellablot · 22/11/2013 21:01

YANBU, they should have been watching the kids amongst other things. Christs sakes, give the man some bromide!

PeppermintScreams · 22/11/2013 21:05

Your friends shagging is a red herring. The problem is they were not supervising the 5 year olds on the trampoline.

And I can't believe she told you that. Shock

perfectstorm · 22/11/2013 21:06

I woudn't give a stuff about the quickie. I'd be pissed off about the trampoline. The one is harmless - the other potentially very dangerous.

pasanda · 22/11/2013 21:06

mist

I am not finding it funny really. I don't have a massive issue about it, just not sure I would do the same thing.

OP posts:
meditrina · 22/11/2013 21:08

It sounds as if the close supervision wasn't happening, irrespective of whether or not intercourse happened.

For if your friend had actually been closely supervising (ie next to the trampoline), the quickie wouldn't have happened.

Don't blame the sex for a lack of supervision that wasn't there in the first pave.

perfectstorm · 22/11/2013 21:08

Incidentally a friend is an A & E registrar, and he won't have a trampoline at all for his kids. (He's also paranoid about the flat screen telly fixings and cables, because they are apparently inherently unstable compared to the traditional kind, and topple way too easily, and if they're right above small heads when they go...) So yeah. Leaving 3 Reception age children alone on one is making me boggle.

MistAllChuckingFrighty · 22/11/2013 21:09

You said you laughed along about it. You should have expressed your disapproval. I would have done. And tell them why you will never leave your dt's in their care again.

ExcuseTypos · 22/11/2013 21:09

Someone should have been supervising 3 young children on a trampoline.

I feel very sorry for your friend if she feels the need to reward him for doing a bit of housework.

MistAllChuckingFrighty · 22/11/2013 21:10

I have never had a trampoline for my kids. Most injuries are relatively minor elbow fractures and wrist fractures. Some are not, but let's not go there.

MistAllChuckingFrighty · 22/11/2013 21:12

OP, your ridiculous friend reminds me of a thread on here once where some daft woman found it amusing to recount how she gave blow jobs in payemnt for a new pair of shoes

I suspect she was in an abusive relationship, especially as she was uber defensive about her actions and wanted everyone to laugh along about how men are just soooo horny.

Worth a thought ?

usualsuspect · 22/11/2013 21:13

I broke my wrist jumping off a table as a kid.

Kids have accidents without trampolines.

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 22/11/2013 21:13

Unsupervised kids on a trampoline?
Lucky nothing went wrong there then.

Leaving little ones to their own devices with a trampoline in the equation is down right irresponsible, it doesn't matter what they were doing, they could've been upstairs packing charity boxes as much as I care - they wouldn't be looking after my kids again for sure.

pasanda · 22/11/2013 21:13

Yes ExcuseTypos, me too!

FannyBazaar · 22/11/2013 21:13

I'd be jealous Envy.

I imagine the enormous number of children playing on trampolines unsupervised who experience no injuries at all don't actually pop into A&E to say they're fine. Watching a child won't actually stop the accident happening. One of the children will always shout out if something bad happens to the others, they don't just carry on bouncing around the injured one.

When I was 5 we went off on our trikes to the park unsupervised by adults to play in the playground and of course, we all know that parks were much more dangerous in the olden days with no rubber surfaces.

MistAllChuckingFrighty · 22/11/2013 21:14

The incidence and severity of "accidents" grows exponentially with an increasing lack of supervision.

usualsuspect · 22/11/2013 21:16

There was bloody concrete under the swings when I was a lass.

There were broken limbs all over the place.

Finola1step · 22/11/2013 21:19

I wouldn't be happy. Couldn't give a fig what people do in their own homes etc. but if you are looking after other people's children then you need to be extra careful.

No supervision on a trampoline with three 5 year olds. Not acceptable.

TEEARDIS · 22/11/2013 21:19

Concrete when I was a lass as well. Only one broken limb that I can remember and that was from falling off the top of the climbing frame.

Probably would have been a broken arm even today.

softlysoftly · 22/11/2013 21:23

Yanbu

1 - payment for chores? Hohoho what a chauvinist? But she still fucked him for it ew

2 - unsupervised outside and on trampoline not Ok

Don't really care about the sex itself tbh.
