To ask what unpopular opinions you hold? (Lighthearted)

This might ruin the whole concept of AIBU but sometimes people pop up with opinions that I am shocked by, not because of what they are but just because they are so marginal. (SPs Cliff Richard obsession, for example?)

So, whilst encouraging you all to go forth and spread your weird and wonderful thoughts all over AIBU and elsewhere, what really unpopular opinions do you hold?

I have a couple of corkers, first one is that Kanye West however much of a knob he is actually is a genius.

I think parents who don't supervise their children on the Internet and have parental controls are neglectful - even at. 16

I think parents who let children watch movies that are not rated for them are neglectful

I think parents who allow their children to watch pornography on the Internet by not preventing it should be prosecuted

I think people who abuse pets should be actually locked up and not given suspended sentences

To think that if you have major and ongoing relationship issues you should talk to a therapist and not expect your friends to listen to you carp on endlessly. Especially when those friends are also friends with your partner.

I think people who can't understand or who ignore the "lighthearted" in a thread title just want to spread around the misery

Oh and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy are brilliant films but the books are like bloody torture!

That pretty much any name is ok, your baby will grow into it.
That Breast is not always best for the mother & family and should be recognised more readily (not a popular view for a healthcare professional)

That childhood vaccination should be compulsory until the teen boosters when the young person can play a role in deciding. I do not believe that a parent should be able to decide to vaccinate or not on behalf of their child.

That parents who keep their children in the state system (even if they can afford private) and are making their children miserable at the expense of their own "moral compass" are making awful decision. Yes friend. I'm looking at you.

That keeping small furry animals or fish as pets teaches children first and foremost that animals are toys who exist for their amusement. I do not agree with keeping captive animals as pets for this reason.
