To ask what unpopular opinions you hold? (Lighthearted)

This might ruin the whole concept of AIBU but sometimes people pop up with opinions that I am shocked by, not because of what they are but just because they are so marginal. (SPs Cliff Richard obsession, for example?)

So, whilst encouraging you all to go forth and spread your weird and wonderful thoughts all over AIBU and elsewhere, what really unpopular opinions do you hold?

I have a couple of corkers, first one is that Kanye West however much of a knob he is actually is a genius.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend - I have boys with short, straight hair so I am unreasonably biased on that one.

A lot of my opinions are unpopular for some reason I'll spare you all the fandom-related ones because most of them will go over the majority's heads ...

I judge people who get sniffy about tattoos/coloured hair/piercings. Or appearance in general, really. Which ties in to another deeply unpopular opinion of mine, which is that I think make-up and faffing with your hair/clothes is boring and a massive waste of time that could be spent doing something more interesting important.

I also get the rage when people judge others for their hobbies. So fucking what if a grown man/woman likes playing with lego/dolls/Warhammer/whatever else it's "cool" to sneer about at the moment?

Also I am deeply suspicious of people who don't like cats

I think doughnuts are disgusting.

I hope Sainsburys get the go ahead to build a supermarket near me, in spite of the local campaign.

Same here MrsBucket - even when I tie my daughter's hair back she tugs some out to twirl so it looks scruffy, but it would look even more wild if it was short, unless she has a number one buzz cut :)

Same here, but I think that's more of a popular opinion.

Its ok monica my hair is the same but she is too little for ghds yet.

My ds's hair is short for the reason mentioned.

Houses should be regarded as homes not investment vehicles

People are not being anti children if they don't want normal noisy children near them in a restaurant.

People who say 'I have a life' usually don't have much of a one

People who say 'I'm mad, I am' are just immature and annoying

People who talk about 'mummy friends' should be shot at dawn.

Agree that obsession with clothes/hair/make-up is very tedious when there's so much else to life than being an adornment.
Also women obsessing about their weight and going on about their sodding diets all the time

90 percent of celebrity's who are apparently drop dead gorgeous I don't like.

I can't stand cats they freak me out

I very rarely drink and when I do its only a couple. I find being drunk or drunk people really annoying.

If teaches really think they are underpaid and overworked they should do something else. Most have never done a "proper job" and would benefit from that experience

I cannot understand how anyone can enjoy sex. It's so boring. And unnecessarily messy.

I agree with the below I couldn't give a stuff about fashion and know very little about it

I would never support the death penalty, because I think citizens are not thinking rationally in giving their government the right to kill them. However, I wouldn't give two shits if someone who had raped someone/killed in cold blood, was killed by the victim's family.

Huge saggy handbags are ugly and inelegant.
No bag, however nice, is more than £100 of nice, and to hit £100 it has to be so amazing you will use it for the rest of your life.

Long nails are very rarely nice looking. They are often grubby looking and clumsy looking. Short nails are prettier.
We should sometimes eat nicely after the children have gone to bed. All of them (pointed stare at dnephew and dniece) (I think this view is only unpopular in my family, I bet there are loads of extended families who sometimes do nice, late, elegant adult dinners but my sister flips if you suggest she eat after 7 or stay up after 9 and also doesn't apparently care that her children have no manners and I am the only one whose heart breaks that I will never be able to have a nice dinner with my parents again without someone repeatedly being told to leave the piano alone, etc)

It may be you know there's something very mermaid like about those colours my gn used to say of she saw someone wearing the colours red and green they looked like a Christmas ornament I've never worn them and she's been dead 13 years so had a lasting effect

Whenever I hear of someone thinking all tattoos are gross/dirty/whatever I get all smug & superior because I think they're idiots and that I am better than them. They probably think the same about me so in a way tattoos make everyone happy.

I hate long hair on little boys, especially when I see them flicking or pushing it our their face constantly. It's not cute, you're not rebelling against societies ideation of what boys should look like. You look like a vain twat who cares more about looks than their own child's comfort. Plus it doesn't look cute, it looks grubby!

Motherhood is not a job, and no you shouldn't get paid for it.

However, I think if there are two parents, one of whom works, and the other stays to care for the children: the single income is equally theirs.

I predict the dc having a terrible case of the squits around dec 18th which will keep them off school for the lay few days of term. elf n safety n all that. They most definitely will not be Sunning themselves in the Caribbean :-D
