NC (not for this) but I'm long-standing MNer (Pom bear, naice ham...)

This might ruin the whole concept of AIBU but sometimes people pop up with opinions that I am shocked by, not because of what they are but just because they are so marginal. (SPs Cliff Richard obsession, for example?)

So, whilst encouraging you all to go forth and spread your weird and wonderful thoughts all over AIBU and elsewhere, what really unpopular opinions do you hold?

I have a couple of corkers, first one is that Kanye West however much of a knob he is actually is a genius.

Oh I really do, Moomin.

MoominsYonisAreScary · 20/11/2013 22:47

Do you have bullet points or something to remind you what theyve done

GobbySadcase · 20/11/2013 22:48

No. Generally they're just ignorant.

KateAdiesearrings · 20/11/2013 22:48

I hate Keith Lemon.
Crocs are hideous.
Eggs should only be eaten hot - egg mayo is evil.
I would run away in a second to shack up with Liam Neeson.

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 20/11/2013 22:49

I think people who won't even give breastfeeding a go and put baby straight onto formula are deeply ignorant.

I dislike overt campness.

I think people who wear sports clothes outside of the gym ( all the time ) are chavvy.

I think men who spend their weekends drinking beer down at the local and watching footie are not much more evolved than cave men.

I think people who smoke have no will to live.

I'm sure I have more and its quite refreshing to be so honest so I'm expecting reactions but tbh, I really don't care.

Golddigger · 20/11/2013 22:49

I am wondering if this thread should have a lock on it now? Half joking, half serious.

DifferentNow · 20/11/2013 22:49

Cyclists are a hazard on roads.

Sticking a dummy in your child's mouth is lazy parenting.

Feeding your child processed shit is not on.

hiddenhome · 20/11/2013 22:50

I hate dogs.
I think National Service should be brought back.
Criminals and juvenile delinquents should be dropped in the middle of the desert and made to cooperate and work hard together in order to save their lives and make it out.
Unfit parents should be sterilised.
Popular culture is shite.

usualsuspect · 20/11/2013 22:51

Not much point having a shitlist.most of the real twats nc anyway.

VerySmallSqueak · 20/11/2013 22:53

I think this should have a lock on it if SPs going to post any more Cliff links.
I couldn't bear it.

happycrimblechuckie · 20/11/2013 22:55

Eggs, not my problem, I was just asked for an unpopular opinion I hold, so I gave it, I am not a politician, I don't have the answers but then I don't think anyone can really tell if a baby is. BF or FF!

monicalewinski · 20/11/2013 22:59

Golddigger I think it's run its course now too - it was quite funny earlier but some self-righteousness coming through now. Sad

comemulledwinewithmoi · 20/11/2013 22:59

That children don't need their hair checked for Lice every week
That its fine to drink in front of children and swear
There's nothing wrong with working for benefits
That higher tax payers, pay too much tax
I don't really get private school despite going to one myself
Pimms is vile
Some children are very naughty

Plymouthrockandroll · 20/11/2013 23:00

Most of the baby names posted on mumsnet are ridiculous.
I like owning a gun.

BlueSkySunnyDay · 20/11/2013 23:01

I think Simon Cowell and Pete Waterman are spawn of the devil put on this earth to destroy the music industry.

I think Harry Syles has hair like a woman and isnt even vaguely attractive.

I have dark thoughts about charity collectors who shake their buckets at me as I enter the super market (usually for obscure charities ive never heard of) Actually, and I have admitted this in real life, I am currently suffering from charity fatigue in general.

Shellywelly1973 · 20/11/2013 23:01

Martyr mothers-give me fuckin strength.

If you want to bf your kid for 3 years, not have a whole nights sleep for 2 years & be a slave to your kid -great but don't ram it down my throat!

BLW- yeah right!

There's nothing wrong with routine & parents actually controlling the children.

Phew feels good!

monicalewinski · 20/11/2013 23:02

Bluesky, we call him 'hat hair Harry'.

ArbitraryUsername · 20/11/2013 23:03

I don't believe that the government pretending you actually get a choice of schools means you have to accept the uniform/petty rules/other bollocks from your allocated 'chosen' school. That always seems to be a very unpopular argument on MN. What is more, I find it quite amusing how much other people seem to adore their own subjection.

As you may have guessed from the above, I also disagree with homework. I'm pretty sure most teachers would happily do away with it but schools feel compelled to set it because fools complain if they don't.

MySiamese · 20/11/2013 23:04

I think the majority of women who 'couldn't breastfeed/didn't produce enough milk' etc bla bla bla, just couldn't be arsed enough to put the hard work in.

I hate Uggs, always have.

People who really believe in god are stupid.

Dogsmom · 20/11/2013 23:04

There is no such thing as a Cockerpoo, labradoodle, cavapoo, yochon, pugalier etc, they are mongrels and you are a fool if you pay a lot of money for them.
Mongrels are fabulous and vets, groomers and trainers snigger about you when you give it some random made up name.
My favourite was the cocker x maltese that the owner proudly claimed was a 'cock-tese'....

Oh, and there's nothing wrong with ready meals and I also agree with whoever said that childless people should pay less tax than those with children.

usualsuspect · 20/11/2013 23:07

Here they come.crawling out.

VerySmallSqueak · 20/11/2013 23:09

Judging by some of your opinions josephine I should think most humans would prefer you spend more time with your dog Hmm.

SPsWouldCatFishNev · 20/11/2013 23:09

What usual and squeak said
