Is an embarrassment to society. How can anyone be that thick?

I hope his ex isn't going in, it's not TOWIE or the Joey Essex show.
It's like the ITV2 show where the whole panel are from Essex, and only talk about him.
We need to see a lot more of the other campmates.

He's off The Only Way is Essex fuckery.

For ages I didn't realise his name was actually Joey Essex but that it was shorthand for "Joey off the Only Way is Essex". Blush

Yeah mrsjay or he's of Italian ancestry and he's named for where he's from like Leonardo da Vinci. Joey da Essex Grin.

Have only seen a few minutes of it this year but I did catch Joey da Essex saying he never learned how to blow his nose last night...

My friend is the same age as Joey, has SEN and cannot use a traditional clock/watch and does not understand the 24-hour clock. She is by no means "thick".

What business is it of ours if he has SEN or not? Joey Essex not being able to tell the time doesn't effect us in any way and if it does then grips need to be given.

In general I can't stand any of the TOWIE lot, I am from Essex and they are generally an embarrassment as 'ambassadors' for the area.

However 'thick' Joey may be from what I have seen of him on IACGMOOH he comes across as very kind and thoughtful, polite and friendly which I think are lovely qualities to possess, particularly for someone so in the lime light.

I can tell the time, however I am not confident in doing so, panic if I am asked the time and I do not have a phone or clock with numbers, and it takes me a few seconds to work it out, I have always been the same since childhood and have never grown out of it, it is the reason I do not wear watches!

I am not thick, I have a 2:1 degree from a good university, a good, well paid job and am very 'literary' with a decent level of intelligence, I just struggle with the time!

This is the kind of utter crap I have to battle against every single day whilst trying to stick up for my severely dyspraxic son.

How clever you must be, laughing at someone who can't tell the time.

FFS. Hmm

He appears to be a lovely lad. I've never seen TOWIE, the first time I saw him was on Celebrity Juice.

Why is it deemed so offensive to use the word thick? Granted it's not the kindest way to describe someone but what adjective would you use instead?

Regardless of his level of intelligence, he is smart enough to be 'making hay whilst the sun shines.'

I think Matthew's right. Joey's not stupid. That doesn't mean I think he's Machiavelli either.

His teeth are hurting my eyes. They could get him and Miss Universe to smile whenever they need to find their way to the dunny in the dark.

Sure there will be a book out after the jungle with Joey isums - if that's the right word for it :)

Hope Sam doesn't come in the jungle - but there will be prob another 2 - usually 12 celebs

Assume the OP meant this to be light hearted....

I don't know much about him, or any issues he may have... but I find the things like blowing his nose hard to believe.

It saddens me that playing dumb is so fashionable. Jade Goody based a career on it & now men are getting in on the 'act'.

It bugs me because they are role models for lots of young people.

I liked joey until the whole Sam break up. I think I'm too emotionally involved! It just seemed that he didn't want her back but didn't want her to be happy with any one else either. Of course, it could be totally set up for towie but Sam seemed genuinely upset. And he just couldn't be straight with her and seemed quite cold. It was at odds to how he'd been previously. Up until them I'd thought he seemed a very genuine considerate guy but that did make me wonder a bit.

I agree that his sister and cousin treat him like a child. I have read somewhere that he has SEN and I should think that he must have some level of learning difficulty in some areas. However he has made his life a success and seems to be doing really well which you can't knock him for.
