Im intrigued.

oh, and they play on DDs PC, on the ipad and also on Xbox 360. DS is waiting fro Xbox live so he can play multiplayer with his school friends. We MIGHT move into getting a server for him later.
He is also desperate to build his sisters Raspberry Pi but she wont let him

NettleTea · 19/11/2013 12:39

Uh Oh Im going to be in trouble. STAMPYlongnose (also known as StampyLonghead and Mr Stampy Cat.

Valpollicella · 19/11/2013 12:39

StampyLongNose YouTube videos are good, no swearing! Some do have quite a lot of bad language to best to vet them first.

Ev1lEdna · 19/11/2013 12:40

Ha my kids are obsessed with Mr Stampy Longnose too. SO glad it isn't just my house.

Ev1lEdna · 19/11/2013 12:42

My son had a creeper birthday cake made by a friend of ours - she just made squares of different green and black icing and made a mosaic creeper face.

Thank you.

The redstone is great - teaches them about electronics as it basically acts as an electrical circuit.

Isn't it? I have got DS1 the new Redstone Guide from Amazon so he can make more things and learn a bit more.

"You cannot afford ford ford my diamond sword sword sword."

wonderingsoul · 19/11/2013 12:52

EV1 The cake was just a long rectangle sponge with cream and jam ein the middle, i got some ready made green icing rolled it out, then used black icing to make the mouth and eyes and bits on the legs.

pretty basic but it did look quite good.

i made a creeper and enderman halloween outfits they should be in my profile pictures if you want to have a look which ill use for decorations at the party,

hit the creepr game .. basically couple of box's paint green, do the faces.. they then have to hit them down with a bean bag. who ever gets them all down a small prize/sweety.

if you google minecraft templates you can print them out and build little cardboard figures.

stick the mouth on the creeper green card/paper. have the eyes on it but cut out a template of the mouth with bluetac on the back.. basically liek stick the tail on the donkey..

ebay should have minecraft decorations/ass liek plates cups etc if you wanted to do that, but im going to stick with green plates. black cups that ill stick some white eyes on to to make them look like endermans.

also balloons.. green balloon you can draw the creeper faces on to them.. or black ballon stick white rectangles for the eyes.

MumInTrainers · 19/11/2013 12:54

My friend did a mine craft party for her 7 year old. Borrowed some computers so they could all play against each other in the same room. Plus themed games, food, everything. It was brilliant.

Ev1lEdna · 19/11/2013 13:14

Thank you wonderingsoul I'm off to have a look at your costumes. Mine wanted them but I had an excessive amount of work over that period and couldn't get them done.

cranberryorange · 19/11/2013 13:39

OMG i am so happy reading this thread.

I have to endure endless talk about Minecraft from my Ds who's 5 and have yet to meet a real life person that has ever heard of stampy longnose and the never ending you tube clips.

Everyone gives me the Confused look when i mention him! He might as well be part of my family. Ds now says 'can you put stamps on for me'

I am alone no moreGrin

MyLeftElbow · 19/11/2013 13:42

I'm more of a Yogscast fangirl rather than Stampy. DS is in team Stampy!

LauraShigihara · 19/11/2013 13:52

Hooray - there are other Stampy families out there! We watch him over breakfast and get excited when there is a new one on.

'Welcome to Stampy's Lovely World...'

I love the fact that Minecraft is all so home made, rather than slick and corporate. In the absence of any tie ins flooding the market, I have just finished making a Creeper cushion for DS and am now working on a pickaxe version.

2rebecca · 19/11/2013 13:56

My teenage son loves it, he's tried to get me interested, but I find the night time when all the scary things come out a bit scary and get bored building things virtually, I'd rather play with lego or Lara Croft.
It keeps him happy for hours though and he has online friends he chats to with a headset from all over the world and they explore areas together. It's fairly nonviolent as well, you're just killing zombies and ogres.

2rebecca · 19/11/2013 13:57

Let's see a picture of the creeper cushion, that sounds good

2rebecca · 19/11/2013 14:01

It's the Yogscast my son is into (older and more sweary than Stampy probably) I had to watch a video of theirs about a "diggy diggy diggy hole hole hole" song several times

2rebecca · 19/11/2013 14:03

The diggy hole song

LauraShigihara · 19/11/2013 14:16

Picture is on my profile but, shush, don't tell DS as it is for Christmas Smile

BerstieSpotts · 19/11/2013 14:22

The spiders do creep me the fuck out. They like to come at you from above when you're on a hill.

I fantasised about making a minecraft dinner party with all of the foods from minecraft in Grin You'd have a mushroom soup starter with bread rolls, then pork chops/steak with apple and melon slices, and to finish a big square cake with white icing and cherries on!

Ev1lEdna · 19/11/2013 14:51

Hilarious I can just imagine it you could give everyone a character; a Steve; a Herobrine; a creeper and so on.

I googled some Minecraft cakes after this thread - there are some amazing ones out there, and green paper-creeper party bags - cool.

I may wimp out though because the birthday is so close to Christmas (and OH says I swear too much decorating cakes) and get an icing topper and make some cupcakes.

TheSmallPrint · 19/11/2013 14:55

My two DSs (6 and 9) love it and also the You Tube parodies such as . We are constantly singing it now. Hmm

BerstieSpotts · 19/11/2013 15:35

Maybe we'll do it for our housewarming when we move - we might actually have a kitchen Grin

OddFodd · 19/11/2013 17:24

DS was an Enderman for Halloween - most people didn't know what he was but he got a lot of older boys coming up to him and saying 'cool costume' so he was thrilled (DS is 6)

Fab party ideas - cheers Smile

OddFodd · 19/11/2013 17:24

We are also Stampy fans here

VivaLeBeaver · 19/11/2013 17:29

More of a Vintage Beef and The Minecraft Crew fan in this house.

Dd plays on a server with the Minecraft Crew and I do feel like they're members of the family at times. Come back from work, "hi dd, hi PiperBunny, hi Lizzie".

VivaLeBeaver · 19/11/2013 17:29

have you seen the new Minecraft Lego.
