In the 80s and prior , ITV actually had some decent shows.

Oh yes! That was great! And 'Carrie's War', 'The Witch's Daughter', 'Thursday's Child'. 'A Little Princess' (though it left out some of the characters). And 'Five Children and It' more recently.

They were great except for the Singing, Ringing Tree one which was terrifying
