Just had an "early night" with dp and we're getting down to the business under the duvet when suddenly this foul stench engulfs me and I realise he's let one go. I instantly said I need some air and moved our of and away from the clinch we were in. Immediately switched the light off and said goodnight at which point he apologised profusely, said it just slipped out and that he didn't know it was coming etc etc. is now snoring next to me.
Aibu to be pissed off about this or should I be trying to see the funny side? Have a just has a sense of humour failure?

Aw bless him, it's disgusting and funny!

DaleyBump · 14/11/2013 22:42

Your poor dp, he only had a fart! Laugh it off.

kilmuir · 14/11/2013 22:42

Whoops

MistAllChuckingFrighty · 14/11/2013 22:43

Neither. But not really something to quite so upset about.

HotDogSlaughter · 14/11/2013 22:44

Disgusting

sonlypuppyfat · 14/11/2013 22:45

Funny he is but flesh and blood.

HeadfirstThroughTheTimeVortex · 14/11/2013 22:48

A bit gross but you have to laugh! if he's done it on purpose then not funny at all, but you can't help it sometimes!

HeadfirstThroughTheTimeVortex · 14/11/2013 22:49

I also feel a bit sorry for your dh (though I can definitely see why it killed the mood)

hashtagwhatever · 14/11/2013 22:50

disgusting but a little funny.

Gileswithachainsaw · 14/11/2013 22:53

A bit gross but nothing to get so worked up about. Not unless he purposely did it in your face

BodaciousTatas · 14/11/2013 22:53

Funny. Dp and I would have laughed like school children and carried on.

Financeprincess · 14/11/2013 22:53

You should laugh about it. One of DH's friends does this on purpose to his wife, for a laugh. He calls it a 'Dutch oven'.

It is a normal human action. Sometimes they slip out. Unclench.

Littledidsheknow · 15/11/2013 00:30

Surely an accident, he is but a man. Like you though, it would certainly put me off the impending intimacy!

GilmoursPillow · 15/11/2013 06:19

Yeah, a definite mood killer Grin

claraschu · 15/11/2013 06:23

If you really need to fart it is extremely uncomfortable, and for some people impossible, to hold it in.

zippey · 15/11/2013 06:26

At least he didn't follow through.

RevengeWiggle · 15/11/2013 06:28

over reaction

Thants · 15/11/2013 06:38

It's gross but he didn't mean to! I'd have laughed and then got back to it!
