I find it impossible to use these days.

There is a fight on every thread. And I don't just mean in a yanbu/yabu sort of way. I mean that people are happy to round on others because they have different reasons for being here.

I have even seen a row between two different support threads this week.

If you want to make friends you are told off for being royalty or cliquey.

If you want to indulge in a little mild gossiping you are shouted down for being judgemental or shallow.

If you want to have a lighthearted chat you have to make that clear in the thread title nowadays.

I find the general mood of the place to be aggressive, angry, confrontational, defensive, impossible, predictable.

I keep hoping that things will improve, but how ?

Hullygully · 12/11/2013 20:04

SM!

As I live and breathe.

You do what you has done, Mintyy doll

You start a thread and then your mates turn up and you can all have a lovely old chat. So much faster.

I have been working too much for more than a quick nip and pop.

BOF · 12/11/2013 20:06

You weren't banned? That's not very exciting. What happened then- did your Irvine Welsh Translation Keyboard pack in? We would have had a whipround.

Mintyy · 12/11/2013 20:07

Me too. I have been working today. It was the most boring piece of work ever assigned to anyone in the whole history of working EVER. I did well to limit my mumsnet/facebook/local forum time to just the 4 hours I reckon.

Don't ever leave us like that again,SM.

Sparklingbrook · 12/11/2013 20:11

Not banned.mnhq did send me a screw the nut email, which I didn't receive
Meanwhile I was off project managing significant stuff, working like A dog
Missed the email,came back.thats it I'm afraid

Heartbrokenmum73 · 12/11/2013 20:14

I noticed SM on a thread yesterday (I think) and did a double take!

I was also deleted for calling a racist a racist...but she really isn't you know. She has friends from all over the world and it's only immigrants she hates. Because blacking up as the Jackson Five isn't racist at all, y'know. Or the Supremes. It's a tribute Hmm

Gertrain · 12/11/2013 20:16

I am sick of the way that being kind & nice & normal is kind of overlooked and shouted down by utter cunts. Some awful people on relationships. Tbf MNHQ are being a bit tardy about deleting threads too. Ah well such is internet life.

GetOrfGetStuffed · 12/11/2013 20:19

There WERE halcyon days,

23rd November 2008 was one

usualsuspect · 12/11/2013 20:19

I rarely go into relationships.

usualsuspect · 12/11/2013 20:21

MN has always been judgmental.

People judge stuff on here I've never given a 2nd thought to.

It has got a lot worse, honestly. When you left, a massive cunt vacuum was created, and the world rose to the challenge. I'm not sure what happens now you're back- it could be the apocalypse Grin

MistAllChuckingFrighty · 12/11/2013 20:24

I think scottishmummy has been project managing HS2. It's a complex awl bugger that one.
