Someone used 'escape goat' in conversation with me recently, it was a serious conversation so I did have to hide a smile!

Rein/reign is the one driving me nuts on here at the moment- more people get it wrong than right- 'I give him free reign' arrrghhh!

Today I got coming on my facebook feed how someone kept 'loosing pupil after pupil' even though they were putting lots in they were going to 'loose' another one.

I'm not the best speller or great at grammar so I re-read my status' a million times before I post, just to be sure!

"I seen" is one that I see a lot on Facebook. As in "I seen him the other day". My fingers get twitchy.

The former Australian Prime Minister uses "axed" instead of "asked". My brain exploded the day she used the word "youse".

"I should of" gets my goat. And so many people say it!

YABU, how do you now that she doesn't have dyslexia? I used to be like you, bad spelling/grammar annoyed me & I would correct it.

Until a friend who has dyslexia made me realise how cruel it can be when someone corrects your spelling or grammar, not taking into account in any way, that you may have a reason for not being able to spell so great!

Loopa, I dont understand how it can have previously escaped your notice that the facebook status updater in question was not of the required intellectual standard.

I mean why are you friends with her in the first place?
Or has she only recently developed the spelling impediment, did she get in with a thick crowd for whom such things are the lingua franca?

along with the malapropisms

It's when people use dat instead of that. I deleted 20 odd school friends recently for that reason.
