People who post "pissed off", "devastated", "what's the point", etc...have 20 people asking "u ok?" and "what's up" and then don't bother answering, or say "nothing". What was the point of posting then?? You obviously wanted to share...?? AIBU??

My firts AIBU...be gentle!!

YANBU ,this really bugs me , often very attention seeking !

Bunraku · 05/11/2013 10:57

Very irritating. More irritating is the response "I'll inbox you"

KellyElly · 05/11/2013 10:59

Very annoying. Call them up on it. That usually puts a stop to the attention seeking behaviour or gets you defriended. Either or its win win Grin

I hate it.

I've only got about 80 people as friends on FB, and about 45 of them I have hidden their feeds. Cannot be bothered with all the links from the DM, all the passive-aggressive comments and the sick-making comments about the bubz n hubz.

Bollockeyes · 05/11/2013 11:05

I did once!! I'm gonna get flamed for this but I told them not to make a mess...getting blood outta the carpet is hard enough for a person -who can be arsed see...for me it's impossible lol

Cryptic sulky look-at-me facebooking should be banned from anyone over 15.

mrsjay · 05/11/2013 11:17

It is called 'vaguebooking' I tend to ignore it.

so do I,
people sometimes need attention somebody to listen to them this is the way they get it on their facebook they are reaching out to whoever will listen it is up to us to take them up on it or not It is like a virtual sigh and you ask the person next to you if they are ok,

Bollockeyes · 05/11/2013 11:23

well this thread is not giving me the attention I waa whoring for...goodbye cruel world ...¤turns on webcam for max exposure¤ Grin.

Fakebook · 05/11/2013 11:26

Attention seeking shits. They're almost as bad as the ones that keep announcing they're leaving FB, which leads to every gullible idiot begging them to stay. Then they either end up not leaving or disable their account and are on it again a week later. Pathetic.

WhereIsMyHat · 05/11/2013 11:30

It's extremely annoying but my biggest bug is people saying 'inbox me', you can't fucking inbox someone!

Bollockeyes · 05/11/2013 11:33

Inbox me WhereIs! Seriously though, thanks...thought I was being a bitch

This is on par with '.... Is having a friends list cull.' Like anyone gives a shit.

I'm also avoiding facebook at the moment due to the ridiculous amount of 'BAN THE BURKA' posts, with pictures of people in burkas and a big Red Cross through them.

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 05/11/2013 11:34

best thing I did was get rid of facebook. the vast majority were not real life friends and their posts were so transparently fake, and not a reflection of real life. endless pictures of shopping hauls, talk of perfect children and families etc etc. BUt yet then would moan in private forums fb groups about how crap their dh was, how their teens were out all night!

Bollockeyes · 05/11/2013 11:34

I really hate this, have a 'friend' who does it at least once a week. A few weeks ago she had a mole removed and it was a full week of " getting scared about op", "hope the scar isn't too big" etc but whenever anyone asked what was wrong she wouldn't say - preferring to let people assume she was really ill. Drives me mad.

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 05/11/2013 12:16

Hate the fb cull statuses. I've wittled my list down but never mentioned to anyone I was and other people have booted me off theirs. No hard feelings either way far as I know.

I ignore all vaguebooking statuses too. If any of my closest friends do this (some have) I message them and ask them whats up. I've deactivated before but didnt announce it. Just went.

Lamearaous · 05/11/2013 12:34

I find Facebook attention-seeking very annoying.

Vaguebooking is bad enough, but what really annoys me is people who want to ram every detail of their 'perfect' lives down other peoples' throats, and spend their whole time telling us all about how gorgeous their children are or how 'amazing' their DH is, or how blessed they are etc etc etc.

An attention seeker on my friends' list has a child who had a birthday last weekend, and jeez, that was all we heard about on her statuses and photos for the past week; photos of the cake, statuses about the 'amazing' presents she got for her child, photos of her child as a baby, photos of birthday banners, and then about 10 million photos on the day itself. It wasn't even a special birthday. I think her child turned 5.

PedantMarina · 05/11/2013 12:38

YANBU - I have an alleged friend who does this all the time. She's about to be un-.

FoofGoesPoof · 05/11/2013 12:41

YANBU.
I hate those ambiguous statuses e.g "I really wish some people would fuck off" and when people ask "whats wrong hun? XxX" they reply with "I will inbox you!" WTF. Facebook Attention Whores

CocacolaMum · 05/11/2013 13:02

I unfriended someone just today for this exact thing. Beyond irritating.

mitchsta · 05/11/2013 13:31

I delete people who do this. Makes life so much easier :-)
